Another moment for me was back in 1992 when George Brett got his 3000th hit. He was my favorite player growing up and he had a hurt shoulder which made it questionable if he could play. The day we put my childhood dog down (she was dying from liver cancer) he miraculously played and reached that milestone. To this day I like to think someone helped him do it to cheer me up for losing Wolfert that day.

Re: Your best ever moment as a sports fan?
Aaron Boone's HR. My junior year in college up in Boston, sitting in our suite with 25 Boston fans and one other Yankee fan. We were obviously all wasted and I was hearing it from everyone all night because Boston was up the entire game. Boone hits the dinger and me and the other kid go crazy, end up hugging and falling to the ground (no homo) we were so damn pumped. Ended up running around campus screaming into random dorm windows 'YANKEES WIN!' which wasn't smart, almost got into a couple fights, hehe."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Celtics with the best comeback playoff win in 2002 (which they topped last year against the Lakers)
Celtics getting KG
Topping it off with last year's chip, beating the Lakers by 40 in an embarrassing way to lose in the finals.Comment

Re: Your best ever moment as a sports fan?
In the snow in 1995 the MSU SPartans beat the Michigan Wolverines 28-25 when Tony Banks hit Nigea Carter on a 25 yard flag route with 1 minute left to beat the Wolves 28-25. Why so special...Last game my Dad and I attended together because he fell into bad health. When Carter caught the pass I looked next to me to see my dad somehow produce what seemed to be a 40 inch vertical leap. We go to our car just about the time the mob started gathering and fire raged along the banks of the red cedar.
1994.....Central Michigan playing their regular season finale against Miami of Ohio for the MAC championship. With CMU winning by 3 Miami lined up to kick a game tying 27 yard field goal....Fake...TD. CMU gets the ball back on their 20 with 1 minute left an 1 TO. They march to the Miami 38 yard line with just seconds remaining. Was in the student section 1st row back corner of the endzone. Final play of the game the ball was thrown long and high and I honestly thought it was going to come right in my lap. Then out of nowhere I see one hand rach up, I swear at about the 10 foot mark in the sky and a CMU receiver speard it in the back of the endzone. TD Chips, we mauled the guy in the endzone and then headed to the goalposts, I had my friend on my shoulder and we were going to tear the post down when ***SPHHHITT**** a shot of pepper spray from a Mt. Pleasant deputy hit him right between the eyes. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! and he fell backwards off of my shoulders and knocked the wind out him. I ran to the center of the field and danced with the players to Jump Around while my friend lay rolling around in pain in the endzone. Good times..........Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment
