Yeah, I'm wondering how he hasn't been banned yet. I think he's only gotten one written warning from a mod, not even a yellow or red card.Green Bay Packers | Milwaukee Brewers | Bradley Braves | Wisconsin Badgers

Re: Schools out!!
I think I ended high school with a 3.58 or something like that. It was out of 4.25 and Honors classes added an extra point... so the highest in an honors class was 5.25. I was right around the top quarter of my class... about 50th of 200.
My math grade my Senior year was pretty funny. I was in Honors Calculus. I got an 88 the first 9-week-period, then an 83, then a 72, then a 59... lol... I just didn't care. My SAT scores were really good, and I disliked the subject matter so much. My best friend sat behind me and we would break out into song during class... teacher hated us.Originally posted by DaImmaculateONeHow many brothers does Sub-zero running around in his clothing? Re: Schools out!!
See this is what is wrong with our youth. Getting accolades for something that is expected. I went to high school, if you go to a public school it's not hard to get an A in your class. So yeah I pretty much expect everyone to get A's. So why go over the top for something that is expected? this why we see youn people the way they are, thinking they deserve so much for normal work.Comment

Re: Schools out!!
I find this all hilarious. Evidentially, this is the full effect of the "No Child Left Behind" act...a kid passes 9th grade (I'll assume it's your first go-around) and gets a pretty hefty reward for barely getting by. I for one would love to see the SAT score a few years down the road.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.
It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.Comment

Re: Schools out!!
The only thing I wanted to do was play sports and with a 2.0 you can do that. So if it is good enough to play sports and go to the dances then I say it is good enough for the guys on OS.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Schools out!!
To me, if something is good, it should require effort. Getting a 2.0 in an average high school can be accomplished without doing much more than simply showing up for class.
Exactly right. It is passing, and the bare minimum. How is it a "good" thing that he barely snuck in over the minimum? Gotta love the continued dumbing down of society...
Much higher than 2.0, that's all I feel the need to say. Now, I do realize that I was fortunate in that I didn't have to try as hard as most people to get good grades (not trying to brag), but even so, there's really no excuse for anyone to not get a 2.0, and there's really no way a 2.0 can be considered a good GPA.
That's just wonderful. Good grief.
Again, aren't you a teacher? With that attitude, I certainly wouldn't want my kid anywhere near your class if I were a parent. So maybe that is why I realize that a 2.0 is good. I teach in jail, so if a kid has a 2.0 that is great. You have some learning to do my friend. School is not easy for everyone. I was just like you I didn't study and got a 3.2, but that is not the norm. Some have to really study just to get a 2.0 and then there you are hating on that, but nothing new with OS.
But what ever. And I do pray for sake I never get your kid.
Not a fun place, very depressing.
