Trick is, getting into a obscure field that is a hybrid of, lets say Electrician and Mechanical Engineer. Something like that would be a Elevator Mechanic, Top off at a little over $80,000, not bad for someone with Zero College...

But you still go to school, though your not in college you still have to go to a trade school during your employment. There are lots of fields like the one I mentioned too, hard part is finding one and actually keeping your job. I got laid off about 6 months ago and I am pretty sure I am not going to get called back...

Pretty much and those school are no joke either. You will do a lot of work! And I am mean a lot of work! What was your job?

Cebby Electrician here make 30 to 40 to start and then eventually make about 60 to 75 a hour. Interm plumber make about 6,000 a month. That is what the papers have it at.

Seems like you guys are comparing the average salary for a college educated person anywhere in the nation with the most an electrician can make in the state of California.

I will try it again. I realize you are saying overall I am saying in the state of Cali. That is why I did not go find stats. It is not a good comparison. The bottom line is one can make a nice living with out a college degree. But sure the more educated you are the more highly marketable you are. In some cases; some people with masters degrees are out of work.

For some people school is hard, so why hate on a 2.0 It is passing. In fact when you graduate college jobs don't look at GPA. They look at Degrees. Any ways I say try harder next year, but 2.0 is passing.

That is incorrect.

A recent grad out of college is always looked at for GPA. I'm an Engineering Recruiter and many companies request transcripts for recent college grads and for frauds. I've discovered one person who claimed to have a 4 year engineering degree and discovered he didn't even exist at the college he claimed he did. Also, companies want to see if you were active during college and uphold your grades.

Usually, the first two companies you start your career with will ask for college transcripts. After that, companies don't bother.

If he got into a "real" Ivy school with a 3.5 weighted, he was either some super minority hybrid (which, being from OK, I'd imagine you know a decent amount of Native Americans) or had a 1600 SAT score.

Sports. I could've gone to any Ivy League school and I had a 3.7 or 3.8, and my classes were a joke in HS.

This thread is an example of people having high GPA's and are totally classless and disrespectful. If you call yourself so smart, reach one and teach one.
