Yeah, it would probably make a great father's day present too. I was telling my dad about it tonight and it piqued his interest quite a bit.

Anyway, made lasagne tonight along with a barrel of salad. I had never attempted to make lasagne before, but it turned out great. Of course I didn't have teaspoon/tablespoon measuring spoons for my spices, so I just pinched and dashed it to taste. I used the Betty Crocker recipe, which is kind of shady. I made the cheese mixture with creamed cottage cheese. The recipe says use like 1 cup to layer on the bottom. There's no way to cover the bottom of a baking dish with one cup of that cheese mixture. So, that made layering according to the recipe pointless so I just layered my own way. I'm really happy with how it turned out. Its a bit of work, but it should be easier next time now that I know what to do.

Just had a Sharon Fruit for the first time ever. Quite delicious, can't figure out how I would describe it, but I will be having another tomorrow for dessert.

You really have a ton of options. Do you like veggies?

I love my crockpot. The best part is, the crockpot does all the work!

Pork butt/pork shoulder, some BBQ sauce, a can of coke, a sliced red onion, some hoagie rolls, and baby, seven hours later you got a pulled pork sandwich going!

I like the subtle reference. Also, the food. Yes indeed.

Is it that simple? I want something to slow-cook on Saturday, but have no idea what.

Yes it is FT. Yes it is. The joy of a crock pot, it's just...that simple.

I went to Betty Crocker and looked under slow cooker. Bad idea. So many recipes that all sound/look equally delicious. I'm gonna love this thing.

I think I might try the slow cooked Fajita Pulled Pork Sandwiches/tortillas with avocado-onion slaw. If I can manage to find a good avocado at the store.
