Yeah it funny. I told this guy at work I need to go on a diet too, because he is on one. And he said why you are in great shape. Yeah, but I want my good six pack back, but he just laughed. I used to work out a lot when I was younger, and part of me wants to get back into killer shape, but then I think why I am 38 married who I am trying to impressed.

I'm kinda in the same boat (married and 30). I'm not really doing this to impress anyone but i want to be healthier, look better in clothes and not feel uncomfortable while sitting shirtless by the pool. I guess it can't hurt our marriage to both be in better shape as well (gotta keep the home fires burnin' ).

Our house is being finished this year and we will be having a pool so that is def a motivator. I could care less if i had a six pack (though it would be nice ).

The better shape the 2 of you are in will be better for your marriage. My friend was a the taping of Tony when he was on QVC his brother in law is the host of that show. He had nothing, but good things to say about the program. He is thinking of doing it too. And he is in good shape already. So I think if you stick with it you will see great results.

For the people that have problems eating good food. The way you got to look at it...Is each meal when you eat vegetables, chicken (Or another source of protein) you gotta think of it like this.

Vegetables = Skinny
Chicken = muscle

If you constantly make yourself think that way eating will be motivation all by it's self. Try new spices and stuff...There is still good food you can eat.

Lol that's what i was thinking orginally.

I gotta say I really hated yoga the first few times i did it but i must admit it is kinda growing on me. I did it this morning (i'm on the road with work so had to use my laptop in the motel room and took a yoga mat with me i bought for cheap) and it really is a punishing workout if you apply yourself. I was dripping with sweat and i can tell my flexibilty has already improved which was one of if not my biggest weakness. I just wish it wasn't so damn long!

What have you got planned Pared? Doing another round or doing something else or just taking it a bit easier?

I just got the p90x and pullup bar in the mail. I was planning on starting this week, but I cannot do one pullup due to a nagging inner elbow injury I got over the summer.

Can I sub the pullup bar for resistance bands? And if so what are the ideal bands to buy?

Yes. Make sure you get a band that has a door stop included. This will allow you to attach them to the door and do pull downs, simulating a pull-up.

I just "got" this. But don't have a workout chart or anything telling me to do what workout, anywhere online I can get this?

the only thing I found online is what weeks to do them, not really what days of the week to do what.

I'm half way through the "recovery week" aka week 4. There's nothing much recovery about it imo. Since when is 2 lots of yoga, core synergistics (a kick *** workout) and kickboxing considered recovery.

Feeling good and have def improved in all areas. Looking forward to phase 2 next week and the different workouts.

I slipped up a bit on the diet over the weekend but still worked out so hopefully minimised the damage.
