Re: P90X
Update on my progress..
I'm in week 1 of Phase 2 right now. I did an extra week of phase 1 because I didn't feel like I worked hard enough in the first week of it.
I've been very good about the diet and doing all the workouts. I missed a couple last week with a head cold but it was the recovery week so not a huge deal.
I'm down about 15 lbs so far of the 40 or so I wanted to lose. I doubt I'll get to my goal by the end of the program but very happy with my progress so far.Comment

Re: P90X
I think I might extend it a week to. Week one I was not doing enough weight on most of it plus I subbed plyo with the cardioComment

Re: P90X
Sooooooo, to those fo you on a quest to lose weight on p90x, here is my story. I started P90x about 185 ish I prefer to be around 170-175 as I feel my most lean at that weight jeans fit good, etc. On the fiorst go through of p90x I made it to about 175 at one point but it quickly got back to 182 and stayed there for the rest of p90x. right at 182. I took about 3 weeks off after I finished the first run through of p90x, then I did Insanity for about a week or so, now I am back just doing p90x every day, I am on my rest week in phase 1. I now weigh 197 pounds and am shocked at that number. I mean, im not fat, but I put on all of that weight in muscle.Comment

Re: P90X
I meant both...bleh.
EDIT: Except BMI is not reliable...I am 5'10 and a 192 lbs...Most caculation websites would call that over weight. But as it stands of 3 days ago when I checked my body fat % is 13% which would fall in the atheletic category. I still have a lot of preserved muscle from my wrestling days. Honestly...All I want to do is get to 7% and start my building process.
My body is strange...People would look at me now and say I am 170 at the most. I have this annoying layer of fat (Not rolls) that basically surrounds my body. It's safe to say I hit a plateu and hard. I went into vitamin world and got some fireball liqui caps (Lipo 6 black hurt my heart) and I will not resort to un-natural fat burning pills. My goal is to keep it natural and safe.
But I gotta be honest...I want the Apidexin my sister got. 2 weeks on that and Id be ready to build. But it does not sound safe nor does it sound fair.Last edited by ProjectRipCity; 03-14-2010, 05:16 PM.Comment

That BMI thing is a total waste of time for anyone who lifts weights consistently. By the calculations of the BMI world class bodybuilders who can cut down to 4-6% bodyfat are labelled obese. It might be "ok" for the average joe but if you have any muscle mass whatsoever it's a complete joke.Comment

Re: P90X
I read an article a few years ago. They caluculated the BMI of every NBA player. Shawn Bradley was the only player not considered overweight.
BMI is good for wii fit, that's about itComment
