Now the majority of my shopping is in produce, a section I used to pretty much skip with annoyance.
Haha that's how I am but your probably much better then me. But just a year or ago my shopping cart was 80 percent junk. Mt. Dew, tortilla chips, queso dip, nacho cheese, slim jims, tv dinners, pizza rolls, bagel bites, and ton of other snack foods. It looked ridiculous lol.

Nowadays there is much more fruit and a whole lot less junk food but still not where I want to be as far as my diet goes.

The one annoyance (if it truly is one) about Weight Watches is that your so focused on points you need to weigh everything you eat besides pre-packaged food. Tonight I know we are making lemon pepper chicken wraps, and I know I'll be weighing the red peppers and chicken to do my calculation of points. A minor annoyance compared to being unhealthy I suppose..

I feel lousy today. I worked on my abs this morning and when I look at myself I look like a piece of flab. Long way to go I guess.

The longest I've done is 7 days, no food. I allow myself water or fruit drinks. I have been blessed with self control and it's never been that hard. I'm a little hungry right now, but I probably won't be for long. Usually after the second day, there are no more hunger pains. I have also never experienced light-headedness or fatigue. If I ever do, I'll probably eat some peanuts or drink a protein shake. Usually, the longer I fast, the more energized and clear-headed I get. Not hyper, but a very clean-feeling energy. I usually sleep better also.

I'm open to some PM convo. I don't ever get on chat. Do you use facebook?

Fasting has always given me significant clarity; however, it's very hard to do so because my kids pull at my energy a lot. I try real hard to keep my cool, but it can be very difficult to fast when my kids are home.

You sir are wrong. I played sports, got in the best shape of my life, and ate low carb/high fat diet with carb refeeds every 7-10 days.

I hear you. I hate the gut. I'm feeling it though. I know that things will start shifting. I remember in wrestling practice how intense it was and how great it felt. I'm really bothered that I let myself slip out of shape.

I have a question about neck fat. I'm going to google it, but my neck, right below my chin has some fat. Is there something I can do to shape that up?

One thing that folks should also consider doing is keeping a Food Journal as well as a workout journal

Excel will do the trick. Just chart everything. Yes it gets tedious, but at least you can chart your performance progress.

                      Lunch went down like this

2 slices Arnold multi grain bread
                      1 slice cooper cheese
3 slices roasted turkey deli meat

                      9 pts

(Cooper cheese has 9g of fat/oz!?)

I made this at work, didn't have any veggies to add to the sandwich..

www.sparkpeople.com is great for tracking all of your food. it keeps recent foods too so stuff you eat a lot of you can just point and click to add.

Buckeyes_Doc - dude you should be proud of just how well you're doing. One thing for fun I've been doing is looking at people's shopping carts as to the content and then looking at the people. Last night I was behind a woman who was probably 5'5" and about 350 pounds and she had no fruit, no vegetables, 2 cakes, donuts, ice cream and practically every single junk (sweet) food you can think of. It was just appalling. I so wanted to say "Got diabetes?" but I bit my tongue, the woman is suffering enough from just watching her walk and the expressions on her face.

slimm44 - yeah I do have Facebook, I will PM you my email to find me. Fair warning though, I do have some sarcastic stuff on there about religion (pictures and what not) but I always find it interesting to discuss.

I had Pasta Primavera with vegetables Schwanns Meal (340 cals) and some fruit (kiwi, some strawberries and blackberries) which I guesstimate to be about 150 calories. So I'm going to round it up to 500 calories and consider myself at about the 950 calorie mark for the day.

I only got a 33 minute workout today on the elliptical for 425 calories burnt. I put chicken and bbq sauce with vinegar, beer and some seasonings to have some shredded chicken wraps tonight but when I left I wasn't sure if I had plugged in the slow cooker so I had to run home and make sure it was heating (it was).

If anyone is doing Weight Watchers like myself, there is a .99c iPhone app iWatchr that does the trick of keeping your points and what not, it's very nice.
