The wild berry burst version is not much better. Wow. Still not as bad as the protein shake i was trying, but it's close. It's like drinking leaves.

Yea I tried putting it in a shake and it ruined the shake. Better to just gulp down 8 oz with it and call it a day.

Yeah, Jonesy, that is all I am thinking, that it only can get better/easier from here. That said, I had my first bad workout last night. I pulled a muscle in my torso early that hurt everytime I tried to do a pushup. I stopped the Ab workout with about 5 minutes (1/3 of the workout) left.

Also, I am going to the beach for a few days with my family so that presents a number of problems. I won't be able to follow my diet, so I will be doing damage control. For eexample, I plan to bring raisins to snack on while everyone else is eating potato chips. Just going to do the best that I can. It will also throw off my workout schedule. The plan is to get my workout in tom morning before leaving, skipping the day we are at the hotel, then resuming the next day with the workout I missed when we get back. I am going to get back on track by skipping my next scheduled rest day.

Re: Weight Loss - Tips & Daily Check-in

I've been able to hit the gym 3 out of 4 days this week, which is better than the 2 days I got last week. I forgot that the initial two days shock my muscles so much, especially jumping rope. I simply wasn't able to go Thursday or Friday.

This week, I've gotten all my reps (sets of 15) and have increased my jump rope reps a little more. Monday and Tuesday I did 4 sets of 100 on both legs, today I did 5 sets of 125 on both legs. My legs BURN after every set, but I can tell my lungs are getting stronger already. I get 125 jumps in about a minute, so if I can get to 300 jumps per set without stopping, I'd be close to my 3 minute mark. It's insane to even think that far ahead at this point, though.

I'm thinking about going from 15 rep sets on bench press, shoulder press, lat pull-down, and reverse butterflies, to sets of 50 (or maybe 100, depending on what I can do) with much less weight. I may look silly with 20 pound dumbbells on chest press (instead of benching 135), but I think it will give me maximum muscle contraction potential and define me like no other. Has anybody every tried REALLY high reps like that before? My previous bench press goal was to get back to 150 pounds, doing sets of 15 or 20. If I keep going consistently, I should get there in a month or so. I'm not really sure which one to do.

Re: Weight Loss - Tips & Daily Check-in

Hey guys, last night i had a taco salad with ground turkey, salsa, red leaf lettuce, lowfat cheese, tomatoes, hot sauce and green onions. Then for desert I had 1 serving of light, lowfat chocolate ice cream with smuckers sugar free topping. Oh and for snack a couple of slices of lowfat cheese.

I walked at the gym yesterday on the treadmill @ 3mph for 45 minutes so I walked just short of 2 1/2 miles.

This morning so far I had a half a turkey sandwich with lowfat cheese and miracle whip and an activa yogurt (blueberry) for breakfast. I will probably eat a Livesmart meal for lunch.

I have my weigh in at the gym today and I think i've lost nothing for the week. I weighed in yesterday at my exact same weight as last week. Honestly I've been having some stomach issues so this is, right now, why I'm struggling. It's difficult to get a good workout when your having cramps, etc.

Going to the gym here in an hour or so. I've drank so much water today I feel like i'm bloated. Hopefully I can run that off on the elliptical though.

miracle whip was the miracle whip light kind btw. I rarely eat mayo anymore but every once in a while i like it on a turkey/cheese sandwich.

Tried the 50 rep set workout yesterday and it kicked my butt. Did 3 sets of 50 on lat pull-downs and reverse butterflies. It's easier to keep perfect form, focus on the desired muscle groups, gets your heart rate up, and burns like mad. I think I've found a new way to work out for a while. Also, I heard about a new cardio workout called "rolling ropes". Youtube it. It's just like jumping rope, only without the jumping. It's much more intense than meets the eye.

I was off Friday from work and I didn't work out. I ate out a few times over the weekend but kept my quantity of food acceptable. Only ate one meal yesterday, had some Fajitas at a mexican place but didn't eat them all at once, took them home and finished them up a few hours later.

Weigh in tonight at TOPS but I may miss it. Central air people coming out so it'll depend upon how long it takes them to fix the A/C.

This morning I had a small can of Garbanzo beans and a grapefruit for breakfast (300 calories total). Right now i'm having my snack of Activa Strawberry yogurt (80 calories). I'm going to the gym to work out about 1pm or so and will eat lunch when I get back.

I've been slipping on working out and cataloguing my foods recently. I'm going to get back to it hardcore today, but somehow I've lost about 3 pounds since mid-May and I'm now 237. Hopefully I can reach my intermediate goal of 230 soon.

Good job Giggas. Get back on the horse as they say! Well I had lunch just now, 2 pieces of unbreaded, cajun styled blackened fish. Pretty good and only 200 calories + lots of protein.

Yeah i've been slack recently too. I usually get up really early to do my workouts (5.30am) but it is coming into winter here and it's dark and cold at 5.30 now so i have been going back to bed for another hour instead. My diet has still be pretty good apart from the occasionally slip up on the weekends but my weight hasn't changed either way in the last few weeks.

I either need to start working out at night or man up and still do it in the morning regardless of it being freezing.
