Gained a pound last week, but I ate really bad and drank too much beer. Oh well.

That sounds very good, especially the crushed red pepper.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.

I had sushi rolls (220), a banana (80), some cauliflower with cheese (40), a few blackberries (20), 3 strawberries (20) and some carrot sticks (20) for lunch so a total of about 400 calories there, or 900 for the day so far. At the gym I did a bunch of stuff, inc. treadmill (-100) and elliptical (-200) and a bunch of weights (-150??) for a burn of -450 to -500 calories.

I'm at the exact same weight as last week's Thursday weigh in so tomorrow's contest does not look good.

I will give myself credit though, today they had free mini-donuts (chocolate and powdered) and Donato's pizza in our breakroom and I didn't eat any of it!!

Yea just mix it up man. I add a LITTLE LITTLE LITTLE amount of water just to make it into a smooth spread.

I have also roasted onions, or peppers and then placed it all in a blender with the ingredients I named.
              Concrete evidence/videos please

I had some cashews and peanut butter so tack on another 150 calories for me, sitting at 1050.

Oh and the people at work all hate me now because I microwave fish all the time, LOL. I tell them "go tell my doctor if you have issues, he's the one who told me to eat fish a lot as it's healthy"

I almost killed myself with the P90X chest/back workout. I felt like I was going to puke and had to take a nap after it. I could barely wash my hair.

Haven't felt like that in a while!

I've been running on the elliptical for 30 minutes a day and 5 days a week for the past 3 weeks or so. I burn off roughly 410 calories every time. So far I've lost about 7 pounds. Can't believe it. I'm not eating any healthier than I was before either.

Wait, I just read the last several pages.. slimm, you're fasting? I'm not an expert on it, but I've read that it's horrible for you. You lose a lot of weight very quickly, but you gain it all right back and then some after you go back to eating regularly. And apparently your body eats away at your muscles for energy too. I've considered trying it before, but after everything I've read about it I never tried it or considered it again.

Is there some trick to it or a healthy way to do it?

I appreciate the concern, but as I said before, I'm not doing it for weight or diet reasons. I was offered a position of Senior Pastor at a church in my hometown and I am seeking God for direction and discernment. Usually, if I have a big opportunity before me, I fast and pray. I stopped going to the gym this week because I know the two mixed together would make me go to sleep, literally.

I would think that the longer you fast the more muscle you would lose, but I'm almost certain that you're body burns away it's fat stores first. I'm pretty sure this is where the "clean energy" comes from. I also don't encourage anyone to fast aside from spiritual reasons unless you consult a doctor first. You're also right about gaining weight back quickly, but it's much less dramatic if you watch what you eat after the fast. If a person keeps the self-control they used during the fast to eat smaller portions and more healthy food, it's much easier to keep the weight gain at a lower rate.

That being said, today is the last day. Haven't decided if I'll eat tonight after work or tomorrow morning. Probably tonight. Next week, it's back to the regular diet of the usual and riding the recumbent bike 5 days a week. Will probably have mostly fresh fruit/veggies and some lean meat/nuts for my first meal because if I eat fatty/fried/processed/fast food, I know what it'll do to my stomach.
Acts 2:38. Let the truth be told.
John 4:23. He is seeking a seeker.
John 3:20. Say no to normal.

As someone who has not read all 95 pages here, I'll recommend basketball if it hasn't been mentioned yet (or I'll second the recommendation if it has). Finding a place or two to get in some consistant games provides an excellent workout while having a ton of fun. You can't lose! Basketball! You'llll love it!
