False. California has already legalized civil unions. In Mississippi, a gay person can't even adopt a child.

As for Prop 8, it narrowly passed with 51% of the vote. Meanwhile, a similar measure in Mississippi won 88% of the vote.

The actions of one do not represent the actions of the rest. This could have just as easily happened in Washington or Minnesota.

Didn't Cali just vote yes for that prop 8 making marriage between a man and woman? That doesn't sound like equality to me.

Is it true that illegal immigrants have the right to vote in California? I have a client who just moved back from there and that was what I was told.

Exactly. I thought all the stereotypes about California is that we are too tolerant. I guess it's better to go with whatever's most convienient.

I don't know about voting. I do know they can get CA Drivers licenses and healthcare on us.
