I don't know why some of ya'll let DC get to you like that with his threads.

What he's saying is exactly the perception it will give off to folks unless some of you live in a perfect world where people agree with everything you do and nothing but positive things about you at all times.

And do you think people will have a good impression when you say you met at a bar or a club?

My first response to that would be, "Did you hit that?".

I wouldn't go looking for a wife in the bar or in the club in the first damn place LOL.

But to sit here and say "Oh people won't get on you about it because everyone does it now" is BS.

Exactly. I wouldn't want to say I met my wife drunk at a bar.

Some people will get on you for ANYTHING you do. Rather it be you meet online, a bar, a club, church, school, etc.

Screw what other people think. It is definitely more socially acceptable nowadays then it was 5 or 10 years ago to meet someone online. With social networking being so mainstream now this is happening at a high rate, people meeting online that is.

I would use the argument that others have used for the topic at hand for this as well though.

Who cares how you met your wife if it all worked out in the end? If I met my future wife while we were both drunk at a bar but it turned out to be a perfect match I don't think I would have a problem admitting that.

I agree with everything you said. I'm just disagreeing with the notion that people(not EVERYone but there will be some)won't say/think much about it.

Some will simply be happy for you that you've found someone but then you will have others that will say "Oh, you can't pick up females in person so you resort to the Internet? LOL".

LOL of course. I actually did it myself in this thread when I said I wouldn't want to be known for picking up a girl at the bar. Some would be proud of that, some wouldn't. Same goes for the internet. I use to be one of those people who thought only losers go online to get girls lol. But now my mindset has totally changed with that.

But I must say the way I met my wife is truly embarrassing that I will not give the details. Let's just say I wish I met her at a bar or on the internet lol.

Sorry I must of misread your initial post I responded too. Looks like we both agree lol.

Yeah that was a hypocritical statement on my part. It shouldn't matter where you met your wife or girl. It's how your relationship is, that's the key thing. You can meet in the most spectacular way but if you end up hating each other then who gives a damn how you met.

Ok yea you're right, what DC is saying is exactly what people will think in today's world. Nobody on earth is capable of being understanding, good to know, thanks for dropping by. What would we do without such voice of reason?

I'm not saying everybody is/will be supportive of people meeting on the internet...nor did I ever imply that.

Of course some people will think you're a loser, I'm not naive enough to think it won't happen.

The issue is somebody sitting here and saying they aren't doing something they are...repeatedly.

Not even worth it...some people are too damn sensative.

Then you put that? Saying I'm sensitive?

Why don't you try improving your reading comprehension to get the point I'm making since there is clearly a miscommunication issue.

Then that's a separate issue you have(and usually do)with that man.

Seeing how you're basically agreeing with what myself and lilbentley said, my comprehension is fine. Preciate the insult though my man.
