I thought the same thing when my friend texted me while I was at work about Cliff Lee. He said something along the lines of "What are you hearing about Cliff Lee right now? There are rumors that the Phillies are heavily in on him." (About 8pm) My response? "Sure they are. They are just trying to make the Yankees overpay and sign him to like a 9 year deal"

So yea, I was extremely pessimistic like you and, well, you know what happened at midnight.

The wife is in bed and the son is asleep, I have MLB Network on in the background and am drinking a few beers. And, posting on OS, of course.

There's absolutely nothing on TV. I've watched the best of MLB Network's "Best of Hot Stove" for the past two hours. Call me whatever you wish, I'm kind of looking forward to MTV's "16 and Pregnant" coming on in the next 15 minutes. Damn reality TV gets me every time.

I spit beer tonight for the first time in many years. Was playing a game of 2k11 with my buddy and during a cut scene he casually mentioned how he plowed over his 1 year old boy on accident the other day and just flattened him lol. I don't know why it was so funny, but I almost fell off the couch...

Haha... My wife tried getting funny tonight during a "play fight" as she was running away from me. She bent over right in front of me pretending to spike me a football and I came behind her in the hallway and gave her a big thrust and it made her do a belly-first slide across the hall. Luckily it didn't wake my son, but it was pretty dang funny.

I ate some gas-inducing mall food today while shopping with my wife, and afterwards we went to Sears to do some shopping... I let out a pretty healthy burp (unintentional) as a lady turned the corner down our aisle and she ended up eating it. Pretty embarassing, and she wasn't too pleased.
