What happened within those territories to actually gain the land is another story, but I would guess the world considers the acquisition of most of those lands as peaceful.

Yeah. Might be skirting the TOS here, but wiping out an existing population isn't what I would call "peaceful".

Ok I stand corrected on my statement but at least I was on the right track. I agree that most of the world would consider those acquisitions as peaceful though through modern eyes not so much.

It's nice to be refuted in a polite way. Kudos to you good sir!

Talking about the area of Alaska and the Louisiana Purchase won't get anything locked. Neither will generally stating a nonspecific account of things that happened in the past. If it was, mentioning Pearl Harbor would be bad as well, as there are political undertones to that subject as well.

I've never even experienced a losing season. The Colts currently at 6-6 is literally brand new to me. I'm only 21, wasn't much of a sports fan until around 2002 which was the year Tony Dungy arrived. Very fortunate, but like you, I consider it a fair trade, considering the Pacers, Hoosiers, and Irish haven't done anything in years.

Why would someone do this? Assuming of course they don't want to get laid for a good majority of the rest of their life.

Yeah, I really shouldn't complain about any of my teams since I have KU basketball. I was two when KU had their last losing season and they've only missed the tourney once since then, and that was due to probation. I don't know what a "bad" season is for KU basketball. I'll probably cry like a baby when it finally happens. lol
