Housley's saying the water is going diagonally from Japan down to South America.

      Wow...

The tsunami director of Hawaii said this has the potential to swamp coastal areas of all the Hawaiian islands.

About 5 blocks. You can hear the roar of the waves on some nights. It puts me to sleep.

          This is absolutely horrible.

Prayers go out to all affected, and the ones who will be affected in the future because of this.

I keep trying to find updates from Taiwan but no real luck. I have read updates that there hasn't been much of anything and also updates of 26 foot waves. Hard to trust anything you read from non-news sites.

                      Goodness gracious!

8.9 is just mind boggling. I just woke up a while ago and have been watching CNN coverage of what happened. It's so heart wrenching to see what has happened in Japan and well now it looks like other parts of the world are dealing with quakes, waves and aftershocks.

I pray for everyone who's been through this.

If there is any "silver lining" in all of this disaster, it's that the attention is no longer on Charlie Sheen.

I am pretty concerned with the homeless in Hawaii, there are hundreds of people who live in tents along the beach. Hopefully the police can get them to high ground.

                            This is just insane.

Frank and I actually had our entire four hour show for this morning intricately planned for once and then all of a sudden, the news about the quake hit the wire about 8 minutes into our broadcast. We basically ended up doing our entire show about the quake and forthcoming tsunamis and it actually came out better than it ever would have otherwise. It's funny how a show completely based on satire and politically incorrect humor can do a complete 180 for a night and be better than normal.

It was just so surreal actually broadcasting about this as it happened. I actually felt like a genuine news guy for a night. I don't know if I will ever be a part of such a serious broadcast ever again and I don't even know if I'd like to either for that matter. Especially if it has to do with something that causes so much chaos and carnage.

I'll never forget where I was or what I did this morning, especially since we recorded the show.
