Yes....especially if the person say something funny.

I'll say this in a text chat (to girls I guess if I think about it more), but I'll never say this in an actual conversation.

I had this one student last year whose delivery of sentences was either just super adorable or hilarious, and she would say things like "The struggle is real" often, which I would honestly just crack up at. I think if everyone said it I would have had about enough of it by now, but she uses it in such a timely fashion regarding herself that I'm all for it. You go get 'em, Allie!

If you have a strong opinion on something and even if you're basically on target with it, it doesn't even matter to some people because it's apparently too strong. Hence the, 'ooooooohhhhh, such a hot take!"

I'm sure it has been mentioned but I am at work so I can't go thru the whole thing. My two that absolutely make me see red and want to punch somebody in the nose......

people saying the actual word hashtag, i was at bop's which is a frozen custard shop and me and my roommate was in line and we hear these other female college students behind us and we overheard one was talking about something funny and she goes " thats so funny like hashtag lol" and me and my roommate had the wierdest stare at each other like did this girl really just say that?

I hate that too. This reminds me of seeing a video of kids looking at an old phone and one of them said "wow, why did you guys need a hashtag? Twitter wasn't invented yet." smh

All of my students hate on me for still having a flip phone. I have no shame of owning one and I make them very aware of that whenever they hate on it.

My best defense, actually, is flinging back at them with: "Well do you have a home theater in your bedroom? Yeah, shaddap... we have what we want or need, not what others want or need us to have." Ha.

To keep the conversation a bit more on-topic, today during my team's practice I heard one of my players say, "There's no more balls in the bucket." There are at least two things wrong with that sentence that really badly need to be addressed, and that's not even being a grammar Nazi.
