Re: For all of you guys who are homeowners or newly owned
So when we moved into our new house last fall the only thing wrong with the house was there wasn't a pantry in the kitchen. My wife cooks every night, and part of her job is making and developing recipes, so not having a pantry was a big deal. But the house was pretty much the dream house so we decided to work around it. What we have done is move the laundry room that was attached to the kitchen into an adjacent room so all we had to do was run the power a little further and then turn the water pipes around (a little more complicated than that but it wasn't major) and then use that old laundry room as a pantry. Here's some before and after pics:
Laundry room after moving in...
Empty room after moving laundry room to an adjacent bedroom. You can see how we just extended the dryer vent through the wall to the next room. We installed the sink in the new laundry room as well.
So this is what we've been using as a "pantry" for the past 5 months...
But this is the new pantry....
Through my wife's website, we worked with HomeAdvisor.com to set up someone come in and install a pantry system. It was awesome how they came in and measured the room and gave us 3D models of pantry options. They installed this thing in about 3 hours.
No pics of the new laundry room yet, but it will be nice. The washer, dryer, and sink is all installed. The room was originally a bedroom, so it will be a nice big laundry room. The dog beds and dishes are in there too. Finishing up that room will be one of our next projects, getting some cabinets in there and stuff. But next we're working on the office and outside furniture around the pool!

His wife is a crazy good photographer too (I think).
Amazing pantry though...I'd show my wife but she'd then want me to find room to make ours bigger lolNintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Yessir, it's newly built. Couldn't imagine paying those CA prices for a home. I know they pay more out there too, so it could be a wash.
Movers just left and we're staring at a ton of boxes. Hope to get a good ways unpacked so I can chill for a little while tomorrow.Originally posted by J. ColeFool me one time that's shame on you.
