    Here's a pic of my bedside companion, S&W .40

    Spoiler

Everything else I own is hunting related. A Ruger over/under 20 gauge, my grandpa's old Hi Standard 16 gauge pump, a few Ruger .270s, and a Ruger .22

As you can guess, I grew up in a Ruger household.

      Re: OS Firearms Thread

My first pistol was a Ruger Mark III .22. I loved it. Well, up until I had to take it apart to clean it. Biggest pain in the *** ever. You know you're in trouble when a rubber mallet is recommended for disassembly. I sold it for 200, and when I decided I wanted another .22 to go with my .40, I went with the Browning Buckmark instead.

Other than that, I loved the gun. A couple of my buddies have Rugers (SR40c and SR22), and those are great little guns. I'd love to own a GP100 .357, and that just may be my next purchase.

I've put about 150 rounds through this gun now. I think the trigger is even better than the P226 Sigs.

SP2022, is an absolute joy to shoot.

Hopefully buying two M1a for me and my grandpa, pretty excited, never shot a M1a, but his tales about Vietnam makes it sound BA, plus its accurate, and so reliable.

That was the 1st gun I ever shot when I was 10. My dad has one. He use to shoot it on New Years Eve every year when I was growing up.

It seems so weird to me you guys just casually talking about firearms. Things are different across the pond so it's almost alien to me...

It's no firearm, but it will do the job if need be.

I turned in my notice today because I got offered a better job opportunity this week. In celebration I purchased a new AR.

Once again after my 10 wait period ends it will be mine. Will post pictures when I get it in my grubby little hands.

Put an order in on this bad boy today:

                                Ruger SP101 4.2" 5 shot .357 magnum.

I've been looking for this exact model for a long time. I like the idea of the slimmer 5-shot, as I plan on using it for a winter carry option (currently using the M&P 40 Shield as my CCW). I got my hands on one of these at a local shop, and it feels VERY well balanced. It's not as big as some of the other .357 tanks that Ruger and S&W put out, but this is that perfect in between option. Plus, it's a great little sidekick while out hunting.

I also plan on putting an order in for some nice wood grips as seen below:
