    Off Topic 2013

Man, I work with some serious cougars. Hell, the majority of our customers are damn fine too. Complete 180 from working at the pizza shop, where it's all dudes (except the GM... Wtf) and I swear 95% of our customers are big and ugly.

I'm happily engaged, but some of these women here would get it if I were single and down for whatever.

It's a pleasure coming to work.

One of the ladies was talking me up to my fiancé when she came to pick me up one day. The jealousy was just oozing from my girl. I ate that **** up, she gets hit on constantly as a server so it was like sweet revenge, your mans got the ladies lining up too. Haha

It's just funny how we both grew into ourselves, together. It is flattering to know the opposite sex desires you, but I wouldn't trade what I got for anything.

        Did they?

Somehow I missed that. *Googles* Oh, ****, it was today. That's why.

I wonder what they did with it. I hope it's in the ocean next to Bin Laden.

Wait, your skin can actually turn blue and stay like that forever ? Holy crap.

Paul Karason was born a fair-skinned, freckled boy with reddish blond hair. But later, he developed skin with a bluish tinge against his shock of white hair, the result of a rare medical syndrome known as argyria or silver poisoning from dietary supplements. Karason died at the age of 62 this week after being treated for pneumonia at a Washington hospital after having suffered a heart attack. He'd also previously had a severe stroke, his estranged wife Jo Anna Karason told NBC's Today. ABCNews.com interviewed Karason in 2008. At the time he lived in Oregon. He said the blue tinge had started more than a decade before that when he saw an ad in a new-age magazine promising health and rejuvenation through colloidal silver. He drank about 10 ounces a day of the home-brew that he dissolved in water.

Man City literally won the hardest league in the world to win two years ago, and you are bitching.
I mean, I see your point, but just because City is good doesn't mean the Flyers don't have a goalie curse. And to be fair, I was more a fan of Gio Dos Santos than Spurs, and been a fan of City since before they even moved Kompany to Center Back, so please stop wasting time with that tired argument.

I think you have to request invitation. So, you know, do that.

So, looking to rent a house might be suddenly turning into "buy a house."

Not sure how I feel about this.

I understand the financial advantages despite additional costs such as real estate taxes, insurance, upkeep, ETC.

That part makes sense to me.

Locking myself into a long-term loan for a house with a girlfriend just doesn't feel right to me. It just feels a bit more permanent. While I'm happy and in love and all those sparkling and butterfly feelings it just feels too soon to be locking myself down like that. Honestly, if we do that then I would equate that with an unofficial engagement of sorts (which is obviously the long-term plan, but not the "first year or 2" scope).

                Thoughts?

Technically QPR took United's trophy and handed it over to City... but, you know, potato-potahto.

I would never consider buying a house with someone unless we were married. That's just my opinion though.

So the two of you would be purchasing the house together? If that's the case I'd strongly recommend against doing so. Now if you were purchasing a house solo and she were to move in, that's a totally different story. Things can change and if for some reason you two break up, dealing with the issues the house would bring is a headache you do not want to deal with.

Plus, it's always a good idea to live with someone first before making the major leap into buying a house together.

Seriously, that's a HUGE financial step to take for two people. You have to be prepared to assume the full responsibility of the loan and expenses of home ownership (including any fun surprises along the way, like roof damage, burst pipes, HVAC conking out, etc) if you guys were to split up.

Just rent if you want to live together for now. You can always buy later when you guys are more solid and sure and/or married.

Doing a budget for a girl that works at The Furnace in Birmingham. Good looking girl wearing a bright pink one piece, hot pink, skin tight dress that barely covers her ***.

I started to ask if I could get a half price lap dance if I came by, but apparently she only makes $1200/mo. not much compared to what I was expecting.. I've never been, but it is a high maintenance "gentleman's club".

We have sold to a stripper before.

Well, this is coming from her father.

Today he came in and met with me and my boss to talk about doing recommendations for each other. As he was walking out he pulled out a piece of paper that he said was a list of houses for >100k most of them bank repos still and said he was going to give it to my girlfriend.

Now, obviously the financial side does look appealing despite the extra costs of upkeep/repairs, insurances, and taxes. That's all.

Hopefully this doesn't turn into something ugly, but I just told her it honestly does not feel right to me buying a house together (I'm making this assumption because I don't want to have the house/loan in my name, have her pay rent, and her to split down the road) if we aren't, at the very least, engaged or have had the "marriage" talk.

It did occur to me, however, that if she can find a comparable house to what we want AND I can get it for what I pay in rent now then that would definitely be an avenue to cruise down since it would all be in my name (which still leaves me feeling weird, but not uneasy due to the risk of the situation).

We'll have to talk about it obviously, but more options isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Anyway, we're suppose to look at two rentals on Friday. We looked at one yesterday. All the houses around here (within the city limits anyway) have a 85% chance of being built before 1950. The one we looked at yesterday was built in the 30s. It looked nice, but aside from cosmetic and room sizing the big thing that stuck to us was the wiring. In the basement there's a bundle of exposed wires in one corner where the w/d hookups were. Some of the said wiring had been cut (but not capped - safety hooray). My girlfriend asked the lady if the wires were still hot. The woman looked at us, said I don't think so, and touched the damn cut wires. So that's how that visit went.
