Re: Uncommon Opinions
At least anything post-1980ish.
The whole country/western genre was invented in the 20s with a folk music feel for the common people. It served a purpose and was great on its own musical merits up until the 60s/70s. It had a lot of feel and mood to it back in the day, but now it has no soul to it whatsoever and is just overproduced crap for the masses. It's manufactured pop music created for the LCD that has no taste. Sort of like modern rap music. Yuck!Comment

Re: Uncommon Opinions
I love when folks look down on music made for the "masses". How dare artists make music that people want to hear? It's not like this is a business or anything.NFL - Vikings

Re: Uncommon Opinions
Nothing screams country music quite like Florida-Georgia Line and Sam Hunt.

Re: Uncommon Opinions
Aside from Creed and Nickelback I think its funny people care at all. You could take 55's post and switch out any musical genre and I'm sure somebody would agree with the statement.
There are still a few country artists that have that folksy feel and some that even recall Waylon, Willie, and the Boys, but country has the same problem any major mainstream genre has; the mainstream ambassadors aren't representative of the genre or its roots - at all.

Re: Uncommon Opinions
I'm sure many of these have been repeated, but here is my quick list:
- Sandbox/Open world gaming: Don't like it at all. I've tried, many times. I need to sit my fat backside on the couch after dinner and know I'm playing Game X and I'm not going to bed until I get past Level Y.
- Multiplayer gaming: No interest at all. Single player campaign always and forever.
- the NBA: Again, I've tried. How do you people do it?
- Soccer/MMA/Boxing - See "the NBA".
- Coffee: I'd rather die of thirst.
- Fantasy Football: Completely befuddled over its popularity. I hate how it has invaded live game broadcasts whether it be via the scroll on bottom of the screen, or on-screen displays.
- Music: Pretty much background noise for me when commuting to/from work. If it were to be abolished, I'd shrug my shoulders and say "ok".
- Blondes: Dime a dozen most of the time. Long haired brunettes? Yes, please.
- Body size: Woman with an extra 10-15 lbs on them? Perfect. Don't change a thing.
- Office cubicles: I like it. I don't feel like a mouse in a cage. I like the four walls, the solitude, and the privacy.Comment

Re: Uncommon Opinions
I like creed a lot, but not the popular songs like 'with arms wide open'. I like the harder songs. They made lots of gems - my own prison is amazing. They also had some other great songs - bullets comes to mind.Comment
