    Re: Uncommon Opinions

    Burrito/burger bowls are stupid.

Paying exact same price to eat everything in a burrito, without the tortilla shell. Or having a burger with no bread.

Just throw the ingredients in a bowl, serve it, and pass it off basically as the same meal.

There's many good and unique ideas, and others which are just weird. I saw an ad on tv where taco bell has cheetos in a burrito. I've also seen ads for a pierogi pizza. Not a pierogi that tastes like a pizza (those are great), but a pizza where the topping besides sauce and cheese is just pierogis on top. You can also get potatoes on your pizza. All those just seem so weird. Who was part of that focus group?

Deebo was obviously emotionally neglected as a child by one or both parents , and taking Red's chain was such an obvious cry for help by ''acting out'' . therefore as an adult , Deebo lacked appropriate social skills to ask Red for his chain , which is the standard way this transaction typically transpires . whereas the chain wasnt intended as a real chain but a metaphorical representation of friendship , this scene was really intended to be a statement of indictment on society in general , as a whole . the end result was the scene was as cinematicaly powerful as anything from Citizen Kane & Friday is long overdue its rightful recognition as a true American cinema masterpiece . This particular scene was actually a rewrite & reshoot because in the original audience-test version Deebo went back to his car for a good cry because he couldnt physically take the chain away from Red . Also , Red's character was so named because he was the physical manifestation of violence danger passion seduction and adventure . Its a shame all the scenes portraying Red in this manner were left on the cutting room floor .

or , to paraphrase Freud , sometimes a chain is just a chain . be sure to tune into tomorrow when I connect the dots of why Jaws was really at its heart a remake of Romeo & Juliette

My friend caught the new Avengers movie over the weekend and sent the spoilers my way right away because she knew I didn't care. It was funny listening to my favorite podcast later as they talked about Avengers and spoilers and I slowly realized the series was actually a big deal and they were talking about the same stuff my friend told me. I had no idea it was a that big a deal

As a kid I always put crunchy cheetos on my PB&J

As an adult the only time I have a PB&J now is if I am visiting my parents and want a snack

I still put cheetos on it....... It doesn't really change the flavor, just makes a nice crunch to it.

I still eat 'em, I just wont make 'em myself anymore. I buy 'em ''pre-made'' from WalMart lol

definitely only for snacking, I cant imagine a pb&j being a meal, though they are great with vegetable soup

Ive done both, as long as it's cool ranch though. Thin BBQ like Lays work too in a pinch but doritos and cheetos were the best.

Adding crunch to a sandwich can't be uncommon, I'd actually go the other way and say it's uncommon not to do so

                    Re: Uncommon Opinions

I find people get too uptight when it comes to brand name and pricing.

Does it matter if someone pays $30 for jeans or $200? Both probably last similar amount of washes, and most people won't notice or care. Some just like to make the "my pants costs more than your whole wardrobe" statement.

Even grocery shopping. I find people thinking paying more is better. You paid $5 for pasta sauce? I paid half that. Same brand. Even produce, sure some chains might get "higher quality" produce, but at the end of the day an apple is an apple.

Not about being cheap, there's times where higher prices are better for basic items, but getting best items for best price is better. People look down on "discount grocery stores", but that chain has most of the same brands at half the price. Does a $3 box of cheerios taste different than the $7 box at your premium store?

You have to know what to buy, but I'd rather pay less for certain things at places like Aldi's or Liddle which leaves more money to get better meat or etc.

I have an ALDI about 2 minutes down the road from my house and I never go there. I can never find what I'm looking for and when I look at some of the products and how we buy groceries there's not a lot of savings going on.

I shop Kroger for everything except meat and produce.

There is a local butcher shop that I go to for meat. And a local produce store/stand (homegrown produce) that I buy produce from. Both support local farmers so I don't mind paying a little more.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Depends on where you live. In some places, yeah people definitely notice and point it out. The world as a whole is materialistic. Which is why when people start making good money they instantly go out and buy a Mercedes or BMW. Got a friend right now who spent $500 on some jeans. No different really then people who only buy OLED TVs and wouldn't dare buy a TV that wasn't a LG or Sony. Or people who only use Apple products.

Cheap knockoffs people can tell and that's a different story. But for me, I don't see reasoning to care about brand name as much when it comes to things like that. For bigger purchases like a TV, the brand name would matter more.

Even with shoes. $250 pair of shoes, or $50 pair? I've had shoes that have stayed in great condition for a few years now (the minute it gets worn out I'm turning it into my "yard work shoes"). I see ones with $200+ shoes getting new ones every year.

I feel like there's a "graph" in a sense in terms of 'quality relative to price'. Very few $ spent leads to low quality stuff. Too much $ spent leads to you spending more for something which isn't much of an increase in quality. Finding the middle ground (or highest point before the graph starts declining or "flat lining") is the best point.

Even people in general, at some point you just stop being happy based on certain amount of money you make, relative to your lifestyle. Someone making 1M could at times almost be living paycheck to paycheck because of their expenses/type of house they live in(I mean look at the countless celebs/athletes who went broke). Someone making 50k could actually be happier because their lifestyle is sustainable.

Reminds me of something I saw on TV one time. Someone talking about "investing" in a person. If you had 100k to spend, would you want someone making 1M to spend it for you, or someone who doesn't have much? The one making less would value money way more and be smarter/more cautious about how they spend it.
