Re: Uncommon Opinions
I'm inclined to agree with him - outside of PYS and OOTP, High Heat is probably my most played baseball game. While The Show is hands down the best MLB game we have on the market today, there are still things older games did better as a whole that push them over the show.badComment

You can't have a burraco. If you roll the tortilla closed, it is a burrito. If you just fold it in half and eat, it's a taco. You can't half roll it closed and half open.Comment

Re: Uncommon Opinions
And last I checked, putting refried beans in a taco is uncommon (see what I did there?).

Re: Uncommon Opinions
But forgive me for thinking that we should take advantage of a system that gets more kids at least some college experience and degree progression so they can have something to fall back on. So unfair and selfish. And may thy spirit live in us, Forever LSU

Re: Uncommon Opinions
Should they be forced into High School? Get rid of college and then it's only a matter of time before kids start leaving school at 17 or 16. Hell, that's pretty much already happened with Bryce Harper.
And then are you telling me 18 year old kids are going to be able to play in the NFL?And may thy spirit live in us, Forever LSU

EDUCATION!
I know Canada has a piss poor ratio when it comes to collegiate sports as product and education (we swing way over on the other side compared to the US) but if we could find a happy medium where college athletes aren't just expected to perform on the field/court but rather are expected to actually strive for a decent education for the future than I think a lot of the problems we see with "one and done" and kids leaving early might be alleviated a bit.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Same goes for the real world. Some jobs require more schooling than others. Sports are no different. They're a private business. They make the rules.Comment

Re: Uncommon Opinions
On the topic of one and done: Maybe they should just implement the same rule that they have for college baseball in that you can declare right out of high school, but if you choose to go to college you cannot enter the draft until your junior or senior season.Check out my Houston Astros Dynasties:
