I had a lady offer me some Jell-o jugglers today. Another person in the room started laughing and was like, you mean jigglers?

I'm a visual person so when I heard Jell-O jugglers, that's exactly the movie that played in my head. I don't know how I kept it together.

Just saw a facebook status that included the word corky in the following context: "You have a corky sense of humor." Uh... do you mean quirky?

Only skimmed through this thread but one of my neighbors growing up pronounced Water, as Wood-er, and Spaghetti was Pas-getti to him.

One of my co-workers always says Axe, instead of "Ask". "She axed me a question." Makes me cringe.

I can never write, type or say February without spellcheck. I always type it as Febuary, and say it as Feb-you-ary. If only it didn't have that first 'R' in it, my life would be fine.

Didn't read through the whole thread and it has probably been mentioned, but hearing someone say "Ayggs" instead of "eggs" really bothers me.

Edit: Another one that bothers me is "could care less" instead of "couldn't care less."

Depends, maybe they meant "Corky" from the show "Life Goes On"

I'm pretty sure this was already mentioned, but I just heard someone say they had an appointment at the "Choir-practor" to get their back adjusted. Oh really? Are they going to sing harmoniously until your spine magically realigns?

Unless the other person has a horrible sense of humor. And the first person person was conveying that he/she was as funny as a cork.

                    My parents can't pronounce Chipotle.

Most of the time, my mom says "Chipolties" and my dad says "Chipottle."

I had a friend who would always say "pacifically" instead of "specifically". I would ask him all the time if he was sure it wasn't "atlantically".

He would also say that people would "make-a fun of him".

Reminds me of Ricky-isms from Trailer Park Boys.

A co-worker says "Excedra" instead of "Et cetera" at the end of sentences.

Only bugs me because I can't help but notice it every time he says it...

Canda's best kept secret that isn't a secret anymore. I LOVE the TPB. Most hilarious collection of characters I've ever seen. My buddies and I have adopted more phrases to our lives from this show than we can count.

                          Anyways...back on topic.

                            leisure ???

also when someone says vanilla envelopes, instead of manila envelopes...in my mind I go ape**** when that happens.

If I remember correctly, you're supposed to say something like "WOO-stuh-sher"

Something else I just thought of. My father-in-law is a HUGE Packers fan and he says "far" for "Favre" (as in, Brett). He swears that the "v" is silent.

A few years ago I looked up the history of the last name Favre and (if I remember correctly) it's actually the "r" that should be silent, if anything. As in, "Fauve".

I think the reason it cracks me up so much is that he's so emphatic that he uncovered some secret, like he's the one that knows how to say Favre and everyone else is clueless. Not only does he get it wrong (from what I gathered), but he's actually flipping the two letters that should be audible/silent.
I have met Brett's cousin Mark (owned a few video game stores up here for a while) and I currently play games online with Bretts nephew, the nephew pronounces it the same way you have heard it for years, Mark always pronounced it almost phonetically Fahvra... I'm convinced you can do it however you like at this point.

Its a cqjun name. So it would make sense to pronounde it Fauv. Just imagine waterboy saying it.
