    Re: Official OS BBQ/Grilling Thread

We lost power for about 24 hrs so I had to hurry and clean out the freezer. Cooked up some burgers, chicken, dogs, garlic bread and fish.

    All on the grill.

Thankfully the power is back on so I can put all this stuff back in the freezer now that its cooked! LOL!

So I made a Grilled Garlic Bread Double Cheesburger!

    Can you say "Hello Cholesterol"?!

Just put dinner on. I'm drooling already.

Edit: Progress. Out of the foil and needs some dry heat for about an hour to get a little bark formed. Then it's dinner!

Did you use a dry rub and a sauce, or just a dry rub?

                        Re: Official OS BBQ/Grilling Thread

I almost snatched the spatula out of a grown man's hands for starting to press down on some burgers a few weeks ago.

I forgot to snap a picture of my cheese and bacon loaded hamburgers from a few nights ago.

I always go heavier on the seasoning for my hot dogs while drinking to answer my taste bud's cravings for something saltier. I didn't cut myself with the knife after 3/4 of a fifth of Wild Turkey, so It's okay. When my buddy and I get to drinking, we always have to grill something.. even if It's just some hot dogs.

Tonight I grilled some spicy garlic (light on the garlic) boneless chops with some seasoned, spicy corn for a side item. Just something quick to eat for myself, since no one is at my house right now.

Looking for some suggestions for side items to cook on the grill.

I'm doing a little cooking tonight for a few friends and I want to keep it outside. I could always use the side burner on the gas grill if I really need to.

Potatoes. Cube them up with butter, cheese, and bacon bits inside an aluminum foil envelope. Grill for 45-60 minutes. Add green onions. Delicious.

                            Corn on the cob.

Peaches - hands down the best fruit I've had off the grill.

                            Green and yellow squash.

                            Grilled veggies for pasta salad.

I have a grill pan. Its basically a frying pan with holes in it. Im sure you can find one at WalMart or Home Depot.

I like to use it to grill onions, peppers, mushrooms, whatever.
If you dont want to buy a pan, grilling whole peppers is pretty easy as well as fruit like watermelon, pineapple and peaches.
