Bison is too damned expensive.

Re: Official OS BBQ/Grilling Thread
No pictures (and also no grill) but tonight's dinner theme for myself was KISS (keep it simple stupid.)
Made about a 1/2 pound patty out of some ground bison, seasoned it with some Mediterranean salt and organing four seasons peppercorn and broiled it.
I am eating it now. Bison is tastier than beef, yum. Try some out if any of you haven't yet. Way healthier for you, as well.YNWAComment

Re: Official OS BBQ/Grilling Thread
Well, I guess I'll contribute. I love to grill, especially on our charcoal grill at home. My dad made it himself out of some really thick steel, including the grates.
I decided to bbq some chicken last weekend. I grilled a few breasts and some thighs.
Here's before, after, and next day leftover pictures of the whole meal
Something I noticed I do differently than a lot of people I know. When I BBQ chicken, I tend to start applying some bbq sauce on it as it's cooking and just monitor it more closely. I like the "charred" taste with the bbq sauce.
I hate when people just grill it and then slap bbq sauce on it afterwards.Comment

I like that char taste too and the burnt sugars adds great flavors.Comment

Re: Official OS BBQ/Grilling Thread
OK! So what we have here is Peach glazed Pork Chops made with Peach Preserves, Peach Nectar, Vinegar, Soy Sauce, Thyme, Garlic & Crushed Red Pepper.
With a side of Grilled Sweet Potatoes & Grilled Asparagus and a Spinach & Peach Salad with a Raspberry Vinaigrette.
I also marinated the Pork Trimmings in Soy Sauce (Nothing goes to waste in my kitchen!) and cooked up another batch of full Chops in Spicy BBQ sauce.
The Peach Chops look burnt, but thats just the char on the glaze.
They were quite a hit!

Re: Official OS BBQ/Grilling Thread
We did Grilled pizza tonight. First time ever. Grilled the home made dough in the charcoal and transferred it to the gas to let the toppings melt after a minute or two. I'm very much a novice at grilling so I did the best I could.
