Check this out. Hospital picnic tomorrow for all the staff. 900 employees. All free.
Gettin a jump start on the chicken this morning. 780 pieces in total. We'll finish it off in the oven tomorrow. But this frees up the grill for the 500 burgers and 300 hot links we need tomorrow.

That grill is an 8 1/2 footer made by the local high school kids in metal shop. We've had it 10 years. It endures all climates and never gets covered. The only thing we've done to it is I welded 4 cross bars under the grate (the old ones got too weak) and our maintenance crew replaced the hitch receiver and installed trailer lights.

        Not bad for $900.00

What's your best recipe for plain old chicken breasts? I'm trying to decide what to cook tomorrow night

What do you mean by "plain old chicken breasts"?

Are you wanting to grill them?
Do you not want to add anything to them?

If youre just looking for something simple,
Salt & Pepper the chicken, slap on a grill and baste with BBQ Sauce, serve on a bed of rice.

            Easy Peasy!

I probably go even easier than that.

We had some for lunch today.

Brush them with a light coat of olive oil, grind some salt and pepper on them (a generous amount) and then add a nice coat of italian seasoning (Oil, S&P and Italian on both sides of course.) Serve with rice like above or whatever else you prefer.

I do them in the broiler as it's easier for me than firing up a grill. 10 minutes each side for a regular sized chicken breast. Once they are thawed, it's no more than a 25 minute deal (5 for prep, 20 for cooking) and it makes a nice juicy chicken breast with a very good tasting crust on it.

I smoked some bone-in chicken breasts one time while I was smoking something else ( I think a brisket). I threw them on for like and hour or 2 and pulled them off for dinner that night. Made some BBQ sauce to go with them but I didn't need it. The smoke flavor was outstanding (almost like a sauce was applied) and the chicken was incredible juicy.

We do the BBQ thing regularly, we also marinate them in a Teriyaki sauce and then grill them...ends up tasting pretty good.

We're planning on messing around with other marinades and sauces since we're eating more chicken now (trying to be healthier).

Learning how to make a fresh pizza will be my next cooking step. Sounds great.

I think the only reason I make my own rubs is to control the amount of salt that goes in. I find most store bought rubs to be extremely salty.
