Here's a quick recipe I used for the dough . Super simple, but a pain to do with the mixer I have and have no access to a stand mixer.

4 cups of flour. Bread flour preferably, but all-purpose flour works just fine (I used all purpose today as we have no bread flour atm)
1.5 cups of warm water (put it in the microwave for a few if your faucet doesn't get warm enough. Like 110 farenheit-ish)
1 tbsp active dry yeast (otherwise if you just get packets, 1 packet of active dry yeast)
    1 tsp sugar
    2 tsp salt
    2 tbsp olive oil

Just grab a mixing bowl and put in the flour, salt, sugar & yeast. Get it mixed in a bit, then while still mixing add in the warm water and olive oil.

Eventually the dough should be a ball and to a point where it's sticky, but when you pull your fingers apart you don't get clumps pulling off the dough and sticking to your finger. If it's too sticky, mix in more flour. If it's too dry and not sticky at all, add in more warm water little by little.

Once it's in a nice ball and done mixing, I transfer mine to another bowl that is lightly coated on the inside with olive oil. Cover with plastic wrap (some use a warm damp towel) and let sit in a warm place for an hour. For mine (since our apartment is nice and cool, I turned the oven on preheat for 5 minutes then turned it off and let the bowl sit in the oven.

This recipe will give you enough for 2-3 pizzas depending on how big you make the pizza. I take the extra dough and wrap it tightly in plastic wrap then tinfoil and stick the extra in the freezer. The fridge works if you plan on using it within the next 24h.

Then, flatten it out on a pizza stone (or whatever you are gonna cook it on) and use enough flour on the surface of the stone so it doesn't stick. Brush the top with a light coat of olive oil, and make whatever pizza you want.

In total, it takes about 20 minutes to make the dough and the pizza, it's just the hour wait in between them that makes it a bit longer.

Of course, this is just a basic dough recipe for pizzas. Once you get it down it's best to add herbs and spices to the dough mix to your tastes.

I don't do much. After I cover the flattened dough in olive oil, I grind a decent amount of pepper on it. I then do the sauce/toppings and use Italian seasoning over it all to bring out a bit more flavor.

Mine baked for probably about 12 minutes on 450, and came out with a super crispy crust and a nice fluffy, dough-y inside.

Sounds fantastic man. I just copied this and printed it. I really appreciate the recipe!

Damn you guys. Thinking about doing a pizza tonight or something as equally easy.

I've yet to do hamburgers/hot dogs on my grill.

Actually I was just cleaning up my back porch, sweeping up all the leaves and such and was just about to bag everything up when I thought, "WAIT! I have lighter fluid!"

              And so became the bonfire!

I've never even baked a home made pizza. I may try that this weekend if the girl and I stay home.

I've been craving some Chilli's or Cajun Steamer, though.

Here is a great no mixer recipe that is super simple. One catch, you have to make it the night before because it needs 24 hours to rise.

                  Makes 2 crusts:

3 cups bread/ All purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon of active dry yeast
                  3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
                  1 1/4 cups 2% Milk
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil (plus more for the bowl)

Whisk flour, yeast and salt together in a large bowl, then pour in the milk and oil. Mix together with a fork or your hands. Knead once or twice to form a ball. It may be sticky but that is OK.

Oil a bowl and set the dough in it. Lay a sheet of wax paper loosely over the top and then cover with plastic wrap. Put a towel over the bowl and allow to rise at room temperature for 24 hours. Turn the dough once in bowl about 3 hours before you want to use it.

When ready to make pizza, divide the dough in half on a lightly floured board/counter and proceed with your pizza making.

                  Enjoy!

We're doing the homemade grilled pizza's again tomorrow night. We have a kitchen aid and the dough always turns out so much better than mixing without it. The crust is a little crisp when you bite in, but then it becomes airy and somewhat soft. Its an amazing combination.

I'll post some pics again too. If anyone wants the dough recipe we use let me know.

Anyone have an charcoal suggestions? Need to pick some up today.

I'm old school with the basic kingsford match light. I occasionally throw a little hickory in if I'm grilling ribs or chicken.

The hickory is usually from my back yard lol.

My only complaint about Match light is it takes longer to get ready and it often burns up quciker because of how hot it's burning.

I had a pourable pizza crust recipe that I used a couple of times, it was like school cafeteria pizza, before it went to the frozen slabs they use now (or did by the time I left school). I believe it was actually from a federal or county school cafeteria cookbook. It was interesting and nostalgic, but wasn't great pizza. Easy as hell though.

I've found a few recipes for pizza dough without yeast I need to try out. My wife has a minor yeast allergy (to go along with her more serious dairy allergy), so she gets all bloated and stuff if she has yeast.

Annoying a bit for cooking, but we tend to find good alternatives. Would be nice to find a good pizza dough, I'll let you know whenever I'm able to try one out.

Here's another one to add to the list if you don't have it.

This is a very simple and quick pizza dough that can be used for making quiches as well. It's yeast and dairy free. Tastes very good!

                            Dairy free as well.

She can do eggs, and we have a great dairy free butter we use too...

She just loves pizza, and sometimes we get one with vegan cheese, but then she knows she'll look fat/bloated from the allergy. Be cool to find something ourselves. Maybe this weekend we'll try one out.

Thanks bud. I actually didn't mean plain as in how I can cook my chicken breasts plain. I was looking for a way to cook it up with what I have at my house. I didn't feel the need to go out and buy ingredients just to grill (just wanted to grill!)

And actually I didn't grill instead, I cooked in a tomato/chicken stock broth with green peppers, potatoes, and peas. In the Philippines we call it Afritada.
