Yeah I'm starting to believe that someone took over the plane and it was eventually taken back over by the crew (ala United 93) or the terrorist(s) simply put it in the ocean.

Re: Missing Malaysian Plane
If I were forced to pick or create a conspiracy I would say that if it was hijacked, it likely doesn't have anything to do with the plane but with the passengers.
Don't think it would be probable for them to do anything with the plane going forward.Comment

Re: Missing Malaysian Plane
That's what's tough about that idea. They would have had to take it somewhere with the fueling and area necessary to get the plane back up in the air or whatever.Comment

Re: Missing Malaysian Plane
Not if they whole intention was to never have the plane ever fly again. I mean, there are skilled people that can take a car apart in minutes. What if you have a mass number of guys that can do the same to a plane in a few days?Comment

Re: Missing Malaysian Plane
The more I think about the Iranian route...I don't think they could have made it without Indian radar picking them up. They didn't have the fuel to fly out of Indian radar coverage and make Iran.

Re: Missing Malaysian Plane
Doesn't make sense to me that if somebody was going to use the plane for terrorism that they would land it, refuel it and take off again. That's a lot of trouble to go through when you've got the plane in the air to begin with.
Of course, little about this has made sense so far.Comment

Re: Missing Malaysian Plane
Not without flying over Indian airspace. Nor is it possible to fly under radar in a 777 for over one thousand miles above land without getting noticed....nor would they have the fuel to fly that far at such low altitudes (it takes far more fuel to fly lower as the air is more dense.)Last edited by gerg1234; 03-14-2014, 06:19 PM.Chicago Bears

Re: Missing Malaysian Plane
I think they will find the plane this weekend in the Indian Ocean. I think they are using all sorts of different things to try and determine "well this system shut down at 1:17 and this one at 1:24, this screams it was calculated" I think when the stuff hits the fan, sometimes things happen where 99 out of 100 times, it happens one way, but that 1 time it goes some other way that you wouldn't think. This is what creates theories and all that. I think they spent the first few days looking in thee wrong spot, and over the next few days will locate itComment

Re: Missing Malaysian Plane
I have this feeling Capt. Zaharie is behind it. I think he practiced his route on the flight simulator to wherever the next step of the plan was, which I also feel has to do with chip engineers who were on the flight. Either his co-pilot was in on it or he disposed of him. It's not like people on the plane can look out the window and say "hey we are not going the right way."
If the pilot was unstable and wanted to crash the plane why would he fly so far away to do it? I would think he would take off and bring it down.
I am sure I am way off base here but just a feeling.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: Missing Malaysian Plane
I get that feeling too, or at least that he was part of it.
Assuming what we've been told is true, I think we can safely rule out a mechanical issue. If it was suicide, I'm not sure why he would turn and fly another four hours. Communication was lost just as Malaysian ATC was turning the plane over to Vietnamese ATC. It seems a little too perfect that a hijacker would take over the plane just at that moment.
I think the pilot and/or co-pilot were at least in on whatever transpired.Comment

I don't think we can rule out anything.
Especially a mechanical failure.
