Re: 2015 FITNESS CHALLENGE
Placed 3rd in my age group and 30th overall at my 5K race yesterday. Pace was 8:55, which I was very happy with, especially since the course was very hilly.
Got in a 5.5-mile run today. Not a huge fan of running on consecutive days, but needed to get some miles in and wanted to challenge myself mentally to do it.Last edited by DJ; 05-04-2015, 04:14 PM.Currently Playing:

Re: 2015 FITNESS CHALLENGE
Girlfriend decided she wanted to do 21 Day Fix Extreme so I figured I would partake as well. Really surprised how much food it actually allows you to have. I was really thinking it would just starve you to death. I ate healthy for the most part before, but with a structured plan it forced my veggie and fruit intake up a lot which is what I needed. I went from some green beans, salad, or asparagus every other day or so to 5 required cups of greens.
I hate that I advertise $$$beachbody$$$ products so much, but if you need some motivation and a structured plan to get your eating habits on track I would take a look at this.Last edited by SuperBowlNachos; 05-04-2015, 03:13 PM.Comment

Re: 2015 FITNESS CHALLENGE
I've been doing this with my wife originally just for support so she would workout on a regular basis. Now I find myself doing this out of habit. It is a great program that I never expected would work so easily. Yes it requires food prep and sticking to a schedule but it is by far worth it.Girlfriend decided she wanted to do 21 Day Fix Extreme so I figured I would partake as well. The workouts are highly effective and it is now a part of our daily lives. I've dropped 10 pounds in the first week alone and found myself eating more than I ever have. Highly, highly recommend!Last edited by Rules; 05-07-2015, 06:00 PM.Comment

Re: 2015 FITNESS CHALLENGE
I'm about to start running a few days a week with my neighbor. He's a motivated dude and that's what I need. Biking is going to slow down a lot as the Japan summer rolls in.. swamp *** and 3 shower days are bad enough without even biking to and from work. I can deal with a hot summer run to the beach and a quick dip.
I haven't been lifting as much lately, but I've been playing basketball twice a week and softball on Friday evenings. It's been a lot of fun and I noticed the work I put in on gym days helps me on the court and on the diamond.
I just wish I didn't love tequila so much. It's my ultimate crutch right now. I've cut most of my Captain out because of the coke that goes with it, but I can't get past my two day a week tequila.
At least I'm down to 205 from 225 in January. I'm trying to get below 200 for the first time since 2004.Comment

Re: 2015 FITNESS CHALLENGE
First week I followed it exactly. Planned out everything. Second week I got lazy and never did a meal plan. I just bought food based on the approved foods list and limited my portions while having 5 meals in the day.I've been doing this with my wife originally just for support so she would workout on a regular basis. Now I find myself doing this out of habit. It is a great program that I never expected would work so easily. Yes it requires food prep and sticking to a schedule but it is by far worth it.

I've lost 10 pounds in two weeks. That includes the first weekend where my girlfriend's parents were in town and I had two beers, and three meals where I ate at a restaurant and ate it all.
I don't need to lose 10 pounds so I am done with the calorie deficit, but it really has gotten me in a habit of limiting portions. I've eaten more fruit/veggies during lunch the past two weeks than I have my entire life too.Last edited by SuperBowlNachos; 05-18-2015, 03:24 PM.Comment

Re: 2015 FITNESS CHALLENGE
I don't know who it was but thank you to whoever recommended Hasfit on here a while back. I'm about a week in on one of the programs and it is great for me. Trying to work on my diet as well but I am taking that as I go because I'm still not 100% sure on the diet part yet.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

For my 50th.....I'm working and the boys set up a challenge.....
1000 push ups
900 sit ups
60 pull ups
and 5 of whatever they come up with(one of them has to be able to do it....it's going to be benching 320 though I have a feeling....and the one that's going to get me....I gave up benching.....hurts my elbow/shoulder too much)
Time limit to be determined.

Re: 2015 FITNESS CHALLENGE
That was me. I've been slacking recently but it's perfect for me. Workouts are nice and short but effective. There are some good options for the gym too.I don't know who it was but thank you to whoever recommended Hasfit on here a while back.
