    TSC Day 6 complete.

    Struggled with being tired. I think stress is kicking my tail but working thru it by staying on schedule. Passed on cardio today and will pick back up on running in the morning. Running schedule had me off today anyways.

      I hear ya about being tired. Keep it up though, man. Day 7 is right around the corner!

      Btw, I know you mentioned Paleo - I'm actually doing a high carb/low carb set up from Chris Powell. He's one of my favorites and I lost 30lbs from kitchen habits alone couple years ago.

        Any tips on pre workout supplements for HIIT? I feel like I can do better with my high intensity workouts. Half the problem is working the night shift, so I'm groggy most of the time anyways. That, and I wake up around 5pm and by 5:30 I'm usually working out.

        I've read that Cardio Igniter works well, but I'm always weary of stimulants before HIIT. I usually take a caffeine pill and a banana right when I wake up, but I don't know if I'm doing enough, you know?

        Anyways, if you guys have tips, throw them my way!

          I don't think pre-workout drinks do much...BUT...I like them for a placebo. If I take one I feel like I have to work out hard to take advantage of it.

          The past week I've used one and my workouts have been some of the best the past year. I use Bullnox Fruit Punch.

          It probably does nothing but mentally it helps me out! The flavor is WAY better than I ever expected.

            I dunno, I get real hyped with a pre workout drink. They also taste great, especially grape.

              Picked up Athletic Edge Nutrition PreSurge (grape flavored). I will be using it this evening so I will let you know.

                I usually just do a pre-workout shake 90min before hand (water only). Maybe a black coffee as well if its been a long day. What kind of HIIT are you doing?

                  Battle ropes, burpees, sprints etc. Just pure cardio really.

                  I'm more worried about effects on my heart using pre workouts with HIIT. I'm not sure about the ingredients in Cardio Igniter and how the stimulants will effect me. I usually take just caffeine and haven't had problems.

                    I've never used a pre-workout drink, but I do use the shot blocks when I go for a long run or bike ride.

                      One week in the books. Tried the presurge and gained energy from it. No jitters or lasting effects that I can notice. Grape tastes like bubble gum grape with no grit or after taste. I will save it for cardio days when I'm tired.

                        I'm using the new re-formulated C4, Cellucor and I must say I am loving it. Think the addition of TeaCor (Theacrine) was great, my mental focus was on point and my mind did not drift away from the weights at all. Just Hit Triceps pretty hard with Heavy Dumbbell press, and Weighted Dips and I had a boost of energy with no jitters but nothing crazy.

                        One of the biggest complaints with the old C4 was it wasn't strong enough of a kick factor, but I think Cellucor really improved upon that with this new formula; and the Icy Blue Razz flavor is still king.

                        It's formulated more for Bodybuilding, Weight training though.

                          Yea I want to feel like I'm on drugs when I take preworkout. That's more of a personal issue but I crave that shot of adrenaline to make you want to throw weights around.

                              Have you tried Mr. Hyde? It's what I use when I go to the gym early in the AM. 400mg caffeine per scoop. I usually hit the gym around 8AM and use 1MR Vortex. Went at 6AM and used Hyde and had more energy than usual.

                                After I burn through this tub of BullNox I will likely branch out to other brands just to test them out and see what I like.
