The pain crept back in today pretty good, especially doing reverse wrist curls. I talked to a trainer at the club and he said: increase the fish oil dosage, buy some fat gripz and massage the muscle near the tendon.

I caved in and called the doctors office.

They prescribed a anti-inflamotory, 3 times per day for 10 days, and to pick up an elbow brace. I can still lift with the elbow brace, but just know when the elbow says, it's enough.

He feels that I've been doing an improper grip or lifting method and I injured the tendon. He said it's time to repair that areas and build strength back around the muscle around the tendon.
Probably time to stop lifting for now, to let the inflammation heal.

I injured a ligament in my wrist a couple years ago and kept trying to lift through it, and kept making it worse. Ended up having to take 3 months off of lifting because I wouldn't take a week or two off.

I remember you talking about that.

It's great to be motivated and want to do work in the gym, but not at the expense of your health in the long run.

        For real.

It has everything you need to get started. Nutrition plan, workouts that are diverse and challenging, well planned, etc.

Take it easy at first though.

I wasn't able to do the five rounds when I first got the series, so I did cardio and gradually increased it to get my lungs in shape first. I started doing 30 minutes a day on the elliptical starting in June of 2014, and by September I started Rushfit and I could actually go through the whole workout.

At first I was discouraged because I didn't notice much of a change. After a week I lost three pounds, and that kept me motivated, 24 weeks later I had lost a total of 64 pounds. If I can do it, anyone can do it.
Did you get the all three workouts?

Also, did you do the Rushfit Daily Boost or anything like that?

          I remember that, too.

Wow, what a wonder drug, the pain has subsided immeasurably and pretty quick. Hopefully, the 10 day dosage will rid of it completely.

Feels much better in that area.

Got in a nice 4.5-mile run yesterday and am hoping to get another run in this morning before I have no time to exercise the next 6 days. I will be doing plenty of walking those days, though, so won't be completely sedentary.

I'm back on it big time after some knee troubles following the Spartan Beast in September. Been running a minimum of 5 miles 3 times a week at alternating speeds (usually averaging a 7:30 to 8 minute mile) and doing some battle rope HIIT a few times a week as well. Battle ropes are absolutely BRUTAL, but for a 15-20 minute workout, they can't be beat.

Big motivator this year on top of running both the Tough Mudder and Spartan Beast is to look good as a groomsmen in my closest friends wedding. Not trying to impress anyone, but it feels good having people that I haven't seen for a long time comment on how much different I look. I was always relatively out of shape in high school as it is.

I got the Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. I got it way back in 2011 and at that time it was all encompassing. Pretty sure it's still like that. Don't know about the Daily Boost though.

Also, for anyone into interval training, I'd HIGHLY recommend the Gymboss Minimax. You can program any combination of intervals with rest implemented up to as many rounds as you want, and can also save programs for re-use at a different time. It took all of 30 seconds to set up a program for my battle ropes where I do 1 minute work, 30 seconds rest x10. There is a very audible beep (and vibrate if you choose to clip it to your clothes) at the end of every rest and work period, along with an extended beep when the workout is over.

I think I grabbed mine for $27 on Amazon.

Finally got my schedule to where I need to be to make it to Crossfit after work.

Went last night after not working out for roughly a month and a half. Very humbling lol It is a shame that I used to be in great shape and now I'm like a shell of myself. I don't think the altitude has helped my cardiovascular endurance at all either.

                      WOD was 400m run, 30 D/Us, 20 deadlifts, 10 Front Squats - 3 sets 20 minute cap.

Finished in 17ish minutes which felt like an eternity.

So annoying when you've been on a roll with both diet and workouts and then you get sick.

Its all good, just drink a ton of water and stick to your diet while your sick and you'll be fine. Sometimes you give your body a break and it will come back stronger after the rest.

Just hit my Spring goal of 211 all ready.

That's 14 lbs lost, legitimately since January 10th.

Crazy thing is I've still had the occasional alcohol, fast food, etc..

If I want to get to my next goal, which is 200, then I'll have to cut more of that extra stuff out. I got to this point about 6 months ago, but I ****ed up and just stopped caring again. I won't let that happen again.

I decided to weigh myself once a week now, and since I recently upped my calorie intake (I was eating 1200-1400 calories a day) to -500 (thanks to Feared and Antec) I have been losing the weight these past few weeks more healthfully. 1-2 pounds per week. I am now at 159 now and my abs are more visible than they were a month ago.

Today I start with this program, until I go on vacation at the end of the month, then I will start the program again from the beginning.

Thinking about getting DDP Yoga after I finish this. My flexibility is poor.

Has anyone done the '21 Day Fix - Extreme'? My girlfriend and I are about to start phase 3 of P90X3. Which leads into a week long festival we are going to. We are thinking about getting re-booted with the Fix before going into another session of P90X3. We have made meals here and there from the P90X cookbook and in general eat decently, but really want 3 weeks of a strict meal plan. We are thinking "Extreme" since we will be coming off X3.
