I had the same problem—I notice a lot of people do. Once I got below a certain weight threshold and my body adapted to running regularly this, along with knee pain, stiffness, and anything else went away. I have bad gait, and pretty flat feet at this point in my life. I was always a sprinting guy. I ran 100 and 200m in HS and played RB.

Anecdotally it seems a lot of the running difficulties people have (and I had) are related to weight and fighting through the long adaptation phase.

I firmly believe there are better frames for running and I don't possess one of them.

        Agreed.
There's a reason you don't see guys like John Cena running the marathon in the Olympics.
        They're all 5'8" and 125 lbs.

I hate running too, actually hate it more if you're running outside. I'm in the process of rehabbing a torn achilles so when I have to run I try to time it up with some of game on TV. I just try to use a magazine to cover the time overlay on the game, lol.

Got in 7 miles today. Felt good. Hoping the weather holds and I can get my road bike outdoors for the first time this year over the weekend.

I think it's a combo of tight Achilles and tight calves. Mizuno's shoe finder used to have a section related to that. The particular section is gone now, but it was a test to see where your heels were in a full squat (mine don't touch the ground).

              Mizuno shoes are awesome btw.

What do you guys eat for breakfast and dinner during the week? I need some new ideas to bring some fresh things to my plans.

I will mostly have cottage cheese w/ blueberries or one half of a bagel for breakfast during the week. Dinner varies dependent upon what leftovers there are to eat, but I will typically have some type of salad (ie: tomato, onion, cucumber and vinegar salad, or tossed salad). I've altered my mexican rice addition and substituted out the rice for corn, peppers, and black beans and will dice up tomatoes, onions, whip up guacamole, and go with that. From now on I've decided to leave the chips out and will use lettuce instead. Occasionally I'll throw in some pasta for variation and a "cheat."

Apart from that I'm just looking for other ways to incorporate fruits and veggies in an easy, time minimum way.

I do fat free Greek yogurt, granola, and fruit for breakfast normally. My girlfriend does egg cups a lot and just changes up what type.

We have some really good salad recipes, need to get the links from her though when I can.

My girlfriend and I are having this for dinner this weekend. Ever had jicama? It's a vegetable that taste kind of like an apple. Cut it up into a bowl (don't eat the skin) with lime juice and chili powder. Good for a side with any mexican dish.

Definitely juicing or smoothies. Best way to max out the veggies and fruits. You wanna have 70-80% veggies though, preferably leafy greens like spinach and kale.

I'm horrible with breakfast. I eat a CLIF builders bar + 32 oz water.

Too much sugar. Not real food. I know.

Need to just make an actual shake with almond milk/PB/protein...but I'm a lazy bum in the morning.

My biggest issue: I don't like to drink my food. I'll down water all day, but I want to eat my calories.

Tips on protein shakes(whey)? Drink one right after a workout and have that be my "meal"? Say I workout from 5:30-6:30/6:45, drink that a bit after and if I get hungry have a small snack?

Started a workout program yesterday, so we will see how it goes.

Breakfast for me is either a two egg white plus one egg omelette with mushrooms, onions, peppers, tomatoes, and some deli meat with a slice of toast with SF jelly.

1/2 cup real oatmeal(not processed) cinnamon, vanilla extract and some truvia, boil with 2 cups of water, had at least a half cup of pumpkin for the veggies, and simmer for 12-15 minutes. Pour into a bowl and let it harden for awhile and add fruit/berries to the concoction.

Also have with a slice a toast with SF jelly.

Since I've been doing pretty great on my High Carb/Low Carb set up, I went ahead and installed Chris Powell's (extreme makeover, weight loss edition) Vemma Bod-E App.

It comes with a customizable program for me, tracking progress, foods, diary, video diary/tips. I set the time I wake up, and it programs when I should have my meals. If I don't like a type of food, I can just click "change" and it picks out a different combo. It has plan that breaks it down by High Carb days and Low Carb days, which is really what I am excited as when I used his "reshapethenation" a couple years ago, I lost 30 lbs.

                            Best of all it's Free.

Adding to my post from before about the Greek yogurt...

Check the nutrition label. Aldi was out of the Yogurt I normally get, so I just got one from Kroger. What I usually buy has 0% fat, 10g of carbs, 7g of sugar, and 23g of protein.

Compared to this brand from Kroger
                              Spoiler

The Greek Gods branded tasted a little better on it's own, but when mixed with fruits and granola you can't really taste either of them at all.

I use Syntha-6 Vanilla Ice Cream protein powder. Mix in a scoop of that with a 1/2 or full banana, 6-8oz of water (or milk/almond milk), some blueberries, and a couple strawberries. Blend it up in my fancy new NutriBullet (a lot easier to keep clean than the big *** ninja blender I had). I eat breakfast, and normally have this around 1130. I then workout around 12-1.
