I'm amazed that people can be so stupid and get completely isolated from their surroundings. Gotta give credit to Nintendo though, taking advantage of all this new smartphone technology.

Why do most of button-down shirts have a bottom button with no slit for it? Some of my collared shirts don't feature this, but many of them do. Always makes me want to tuck it in.

It would be one thing if it doesn't work well with buttoning that low down the shirt or something, but then why is a button there? That's where I'm confused.

I always thought it was a matching spare in case one of the others falls off.

I still have a flip phone, and completely by choice. I refuse to get a phone that is only touchscreen.

That's right though, I use the number system for letters. Not even T9.

I only use my phone for texts and grocery lists, hated how the flip phone took extra steps to type individual letters. Once I picked up the qwerty keypad phone my life became so much easier. I can't believe flip phones are still supported by 3G and qwerty phones aren't

I can't believe someone would actually prefer to use a flip phone over a smartphone.

The only advantage the flip phones had was a physical keyboard/keypad, especially with the slide phones that had a full one built in.

I had a Samsung Intensity and I miss that.

                          - Can do exactly what I need it to
                          - Can't get addicted

The last one is important. It's not that I think a flip phone is superior to another phone, but I could lose myself in that phone in ways that I would prefer not to, where I could do those things when I have access to a computer and such. I let this serve as a great model to my students whose lives seem to be attached to their hip/hand, depending on where it is at the time.

The second to last one is equally as important. I once made a Facebook post that said: "To anyone who has ever told me I need a new/upgraded phone: Show me your home theater, PC, and Blu-ray collection. After that, I'll consider it. Until then, I have what I need, as do you." Simply put, I don't see a reason why society needs to tell me what I need or should have, especially when others haven't kept up in the same vein, or at least where I deem they should have as well. I use my phone to call, text, and set alarms. I use my computer and camera for everything else that the majority of you like your Smartphones to do.

The whole "it's cool to be different" says a lot as well. I take pride in the fact that I was the youngest of anyone I knew to become a switch-hitter in baseball, or the only of my friends to drive a stick-shift. Things like that. Retro is cool too sometimes.

Sorry, got a little off-track there heh.

I guess I like having a Smartphone for the exact reasons you would dislike having one, in a way.

I like always being connected and being able to do pretty much anything wherever I happen to be. It's convenient in that, I don't need to rely on transporting my camera or my laptop or whatever else, and since you don't always know ahead of time whether you will need those things when you're out and about, it's nice knowing that I don't have to think about it.

i work at a summer camp. some kids at work said i looked like john cena. i dont know if that a compliment or not - but i know i dont have his muscles haha.

this is both a good and bad time honestly. im leaving for clemson in thirty days; im a sports communications major (which is super cool).

but my favorite person (grandfather) also just passed away due to kidney failure.
