My 10yo son and I are building this one together and having a blast. We're splitting each of the arms and legs between us. Arm lions done! They're each about 8 inches long. Really cool build so far.

          Re: The Lego Thread

Had been playing Lego Worlds with my kid some lately and we watched The Batman Lego Movie a few weeks ago and he's been obsessed with Batman since...actually just bought it on the Fire Stick and watched it again with him today. His bday is coming in a few weeks so I decided to get him his first Lego set...I am excited...

I know I'll be the one doing most of the building and showing him how, but I think he's going to enjoy it, especially the figures. If he likes it and plays with it a lot this will be a fun Lego Christmas for me...I mean him...

I'll post a pic or two when we piece it together on his bday.

            Re: The Lego Thread

I finally have my Lego grail set! Obtained via trade too! There is a new mom and pop type brick shop opening in the mall near me next week. Got in touch with the owner through Facebook and asked if he buys sets. He does. Said I could bring some stuff over today while his store is getting ready. We made a deal that I would give him 4 Lego Batman movie sets plus my entire Lego Dimensions set for the Ghostbusters Firehouse straight up. I was more than ok with that as I am completely finished with Lego Dimensions anyway.

Can't wait to start building this!

Does anyone know of any good resources for custom builds? I want to do something for Halloween, but wasn't sure where to go other than Google.

If you are wanting instructions for other's creations, those aren't easy to come by. But you may find some on rebrickable or moc-pages. You can at least look at some creations there and get an idea, then download a LEGO designer program like LDD or Stud.io and design your own that way. The best stuff I find is on flickr.

That's awesome! That is still a top 5 set that I have! I love how it opens up and has little scenes inside. Do you have the Ecto-1 as well? If not, you'll need to get it!

I do have it and plan on displaying it with the firehouse. I'm only on bag 4 so far after starting last night. Taking my time with it.

I did see it. I'm looking forward to finding a spot for it this year. I've been waiting a fire station in my village and was considering putting the City version in there, but I won't have to do that anymore.

I'm going to have a smaller winter village this year because my big LEGO space is in transition because I'm building a modular city and I'm going to keep it up this year so I can make more progress on it. Speaking of my big LEGO space, I just got this large custom table for my village/city to go on. The modular city I’m working on is in progress but I want a few uninterrupted months of work on it which is why no big winter village this year. But it will be amazing next year when I utilize this full space for it!IMG_3857.JPGBB82D8A8-637E-4C3F-BC67-B65DF7329E59.jpeg

I found these old basketball legos while at my parents house a few weeks back. As a reward for my son as he learns to use the potty I started giving him 1 NBA player each day he went without an accident. After going several days without one he got the basketball set. He and I put it together (he did really well finding the right pieces and putting them in the right spot, I only had to snap a few together). This is his first set (until his bday next week, then he will have a bunch more). Looking forward to the next builds!

I'm actually not. When I made the trade I made it knowing the box wasn't sealed but all the numbered bags were. However, when I got home and dumped the bags out I noticed one of the bags that had the real big pieces in it had a hole in it. It wasn't until I finished the second floor of the firehouse that I noticed I was missing a few pieces. The guy that owns the brick store ordered the pieces I need. Once I get them I'll get it finished.
