Thanks! I figured the star wars name raises the cost somewhat. But seems like a deal too good to pass up.

Just finished the Winter Village Market set. This carousel build may just be one of my favorite builds I've ever done. This is going to go great in my little village. I may need a bigger table once I put all these sets on it. Haha. Hopefully have it all set up before the weekend is over.

            Re: The Lego Thread

Do you guys ever build other models than what was meant to be built? I played with Lego until I was 14 (and that was many years before they started with all the Star Wars and all the other movies etc.), and I used to take different parts from different Lego's and build completely different things (and when I say things, I mean one thing...yeah you guessed it...a forklift).

I had it all mixed and created my own models. But I'm sure I'm not the only one.
            My Specs:

            ZX Spectrum
            CPU: Z80 @ 3.5 MHz
            GPU: Monochrome display
            RAM: 48 KB
            OS: Sinclair BASIC

Finished my Lego winter village tonight. May still make a few tweaks. Not sure if it looks too cluttered or not. I don't have the time or space to make a huge one with roads and such. Definitely improved from last year though. What do you guys think?

Looks great! I like the ice sculpture. I want to add something like that next year to mine.

I'm just about done with my village for the year. The village is actually done, just doing finishing touches. Got a few more minifigs to sprinkle around and built 5 cars for the roads this weekend. Should be totally done this week so hopefully I can take new pics and a video this coming up weekend.

Finished my Christmas Village for the year. The village is two feet longer and wider this year! Additions are the Winter Village Train Station, a new city block of Creator 3-in-1 buildings, and a ski lodge and ski lift. The village got so big, I have train stations on both sides lol! Here's a few pics and a video.

Thanks guys! I had a lot of fun expanding the village this year. Not sure what I'll add to it next year, looking forward to whatever the new Winter set will be from LEGO. I've decided during the months that my Christmas Village isn't up that I will start working on a street of the LEGO modular buildings. I recently purchased the Palace Cinema as the first building for my modular street.

Now that I'm done messing with the Christmas Village this year I can get back into my Star Wars sets. I bought some custom minifigs off ebay for my Mos Eisley Cantina display I've had for a couple years and also LEGO just came out with a new set that finally has the bartender for the first time.

Had some birthday money and pulled the trigger on these for myself lol. I've been wanting to get some sets to build for awhile but couldn't justify spending the money that Lego sets cost (plus the wife would have none of that lol). Pretty stoked to build these. For me it's such a calming experience building legos. My kids are super jealous.

Picked up the Downtown Diner set recently. I knew from the moment I first saw it that I wanted to get it so I'm pretty excited. Like others have said, building is just a relaxing thing for me. And it's nice because my kids will either get theirs out too or help me (though I selfishly prefer the former )

Some of them are pretty pricey but I justify it by limiting myself to one bag number in a sitting. With this Diner, that lasts about an hour and I'll only do a "session" or two a week so it's just right for me. Plus, that way I spread the build out over the course of a month or two. If I was dropping that much money on one regularly, it would be a bigger issue.

My problem now is that I don't have space anywhere with the other sets I've done. Need to find some sort of display shelf for these. LOL...even my kids are telling me this! It's gotta be soon, too...the next step for the diner is building up and it's not going to fit where I'm keeping it currently.
