I think I'm going to invest in stocks related to the travel industry. You are seeing states more open and things like sporting events starting to let fans in. With the vaccine more open I think most people fall into 1 of 2 categories. Either they got the vaccine and fell safe or They will never get the vaccine and aren't worried about it. I still follow the cruise industry close on a daily basis so I know all about that side of things.

Does anyone use E*TRADE to borrow $ to invest? I’ve done it a little recently in day trading. I ran the numbers and it’s not a bad deal. My dad does it a lot and I think it’s roughly $40 a day and you can invest 6 figures worth

Cheers to all that bought AMC a few Weeks back

****ing Gamestop, man. Hindsight is 20/20 but I was REALLY close to putting $10,000 into it last month when it was around $40/share. Talked myself out of it at the last minute.

I'll just say that given its squeeze potential, it's still not too late to jump in. I understand it's not nearly the same thing though.

And yes, I tried to get in Friday, but because of my 90 day trade restriction I have to wait for sold cash to settle before I could trade it again. So while it was at $130 on Friday when I was trying to buy and found out I couldn't, I only asked the world one thing: "Don't spike too much on Monday, or Tuesday Euro pre-market." Well, Monday it ends around $195, and Europe's three-hour edge over us added another $25 to it. I had to get in at $220 to average up to $163.

I'm pissed, but still anticipating large gains.

EDIT: In fact, just to put my money where my mouth is, I just sent a $10,000 transfer request over to my brokerage account. If AMC dips after the earnings report and that cash settles, I'm going all in with that. Not financial advice, but I think it would be incredibly wise to do the same if you find your right price target. Problem is, like last Friday, I don't have control of my money yet and might not for a day or two.

(I don't want to choose GME for this one because its skyrocket potential is a lot sooner, and I'd paperhand that one before I will AMC if I had to choose one... but I still believe the profit is fully, fully there for both)

I have another $10,000 in RKT stock that I'll sell at some point too. I couldn't sell on the day that it hit $42, because again my cash wasn't yet settled. There is minor squeeze potential in it still, but UWMC is rivaling it hard so I'm not sure what will come of it. I think I get the $1.11 divided payment, but honestly that's kind of kibbles and bits if I still sold at a loss. I'll wait and see what happens there, but those funds are assuredly going into GME or AMC afterward (again, likely AMC).

I have been day trading AMC a lot I've changed my strategy and just taking the quick flip since it moves so much.

I am still buying more cruise stock and I'm not exactly sure what we are allowed to say in here so I'll post the link of todays latest news. When this broke i instantly went and bought more as I get the news before wallstreet with how close I follow it.

The first ship (from a major cruise line) to set sail in the Americas since the industry shut down a year ago will be the Crystal Serenity, a 1,064-passenger

You're lucky. I'm not allowed to do that until the end of April with my restriction. I wish I could now that I know how these stocks operate.

I’ve day traded AMC and NCLH so much this week E*TRADE sent me some warning about it. I think I’ve just got to change a setting on my account.

What I’m doing is watching a few stocks super closely basically keeping the live quotes up on my phones while I’m at work. I bid with the limit price so I increase my odds of getting it when it’s down. If I see it’s getting close I’ll go edit the bid down a nickel to try and get it cheaper. I’ll bid like 75% of what I have available on it then if goes up like 10 cents I’ll just take the quick flip. If it was to go down I have the other 25% to buy some more to lower the average. If that falls then I can wait it on a few days or even borrow the $ at $40 a day and triple down. I’ve not had to use the last one yet.

It’s prob risky but I’ve had my best week ever doing it.

It was held by DFV/Roaring Kitty at the bottom, there are still very many shorts in play, Ryan Cohen was announced to helm a lot of their e-commerce front of things alongside dumping their no-good CFO, and larger institutions came back in. Some more wires tripped when calls expired ITM, and retail investors came back in out of popularity.

Still waiting on many shorts to cover. Some big dates coming up soon, namely March 19th and March 23rd.

Nah I sold my AMC at $12 I had bought some more so got my average down to like $11.40. I ended up buying it back one more time for another quick flip.

That was also the stock I did something goofy on and got some kind of 3,800 deferred loss to which I need to figure out. Overall I made $ on it and I've adjusted my strategy to do quick sales instead of holding out for the big payday. I was going to day trade it some more, but it keeps on going up.

Gotcha. I screwed up somewhere and am averaging much higher than I thought because of a wash sale. I think I understand some of the ideas behind it, but I don't understand it in full.

It has to do with not taking advantage of capital losses during tax season, but if they're increasing my price does that mean I still file for those capital losses anyway? I just don't know. I won't have to worry about it until next year anyway.

I'm not sure it sounds like we may be having similar type issues. I'm not smart enough to understand the complicated things like that lol They said I sold some at a $900 loss which I know I didn't.

Everyday I find a stock with heavy volume and follow it real closely for a few hours then buy it or at least follow it real close. Today its "CHEK" I bought a bunch of shares at $3.15 and its at $3.25 now. I'm going to try and get greedy and hope it hits $3.35

"Explode" is a completely relative term here, but AMC is set to do well the rest of this week.

98% of all AMC theaters in the U.S. will be opened by Friday, Fidelity just bought 600k shares during after hours, and even with low volume today (not much selling) it still went up over 3%. Combined with stimulus checks coming in, barring any major shorting I think anything that can be ITM within the $16-$20 price range should be looking pretty optimistic.

Friday will be an all-out war between both sides with the quadruple witching, though. Everything changes on that day, that's for sure.

Your not helping me with my decision to sell 9,400 shares at $10.05 lol. It was such a risky move though I was nervous and took the quick profit.
