A random "why is it like that...that seems wrong" :

Why is it that at the cheaper/discount bag-it-yourself type grocery store they have those single shot mini bottles of vodka and whiskey right at the checkout stand, but at the nicer stores in the nicer part of town they don't. [emoji848]

Some of them try and do it with terrible consequences. Animals need that protein and can't adapt their bodies to survive on a vegan or vegetanarian diet.

No vet would ever tell them it's okay but some try and anyway and it is awful for the animals.

I'm gonna add one more bucket to my bucket list:
I must scale the summit of Mt. Sunflower somehow someway someday.

I didn't realize this was a thing lol, I googled Michigan's highest point and it looks like the same deal

edit: it's funny because you'd think climbing any of those trees would reach a higher point

Mt. Arvon does actually stand out from the surrounding area and involves hiking up.

I’ve never done it, but you can see it in the distance when you’re driving up to the Keweenaw area.

lol Mt. Sunflower waay more a workout than Mt. Arvon
Arvon sits at under 2000 feet above elevation
Sunflower at more than 4000 ft

The world's population is now over 8 BILLION people!

Seems like every 11 or 12 years we reach a new billion.

I believe I was in sixth grade when we hit 6 million people, and thay was in 1999-2000. Math checks out!

According to Snopes though, we have yet to reach the milestone.

I remember when overpopulation was the scary thing according to magazines and school textbooks. Now it's kind of the opposite, because social programs need enough young people to support older people.

Where do you guys recommend buying an Xbox 360 console these days? Mine died last year (after giving me 10 good years), but there’s some games I still like on there, and I’m thinking about replacing it, but some of the reviews on Amazon from “certified refurbished” consoles have me concerned. Does anyone have experience with this, and is that still the best option? I know people are more likely to leave a review if they have a bad experience, so it may be a skewed result I’m looking at.

Nasty wreck in front of our building yesterday afternoon. One guy inched out too far from a side road into path of traffic of a road where the speed limit is 35 but average speed is 50-60. Tore the whole front end of the guys car.

To add to the drama, the woman that hit him, was so pissed that she got out screaming and pulled him out of the car to whoop his behind. And to add to that, the guy only had one arm. He got out of her clutches and ran to our door (it stays locked), but thankfully the police were very nearby (our building next to police station) so an officer was on scene before anything could escalate further, if it was going to at all.

Interesting end to a Thursday workday
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

yeah, 8 billions a huge number but what I find fascinating is the estimates I've seen for total amount of homosapien humans ever born on Earth is over 117 billion
