Just went through this myself. A few weeks ago I added a playlist on Spotify with songs from my high school days, kinda thinking it was cool that I remembered so many lyrics. I felt like I hadn't heard them in a while, but not that long since they were new, you know?

...then I remembered the email I got a couple months ago about my 20th reunion being this year.

The movie American Graffiti came out in 1973 and was set in 1962, but nostalgia was a huge part of it's success. Nostalgia for just 11 years earlier lol. But so much had changed. But it was still just 11 years.
Nowadays, I think 90s nostalgia is the peak thing. You have people in their 20s-40s who remember growing up those times, and that's the target demo for things too.

Nothing makes me feel older than hearing a song that came out when I was growing up now being played on a classic rock station

The huge rock salt grains are just way too....salty. I prefer no salt, radioactive yellow beer cheese sauce, +/- mustard.

I'm with you, but Veggie Straws are worse. By a wide margin.

Now, I suppose there would be a very good argument that "Veggie Straws" don't count as a snack, but someone left a bag of them at my place (I think it's pretty clear what gender said someone is...) and so I ate a few, and at first it seems like you're eating a snack, but then you quickly realize you are about to vomit in disgust at the sheer idiocy required to make a product like "Veggie Straws" and presume to even attempt to pass it off as some kind of a snack. Whoever invented those things should be jailed for life. Or be given the chair. Either way, those things are a crime against humanity.

Next to a global pandemic, this is the craziest thing I've seen happen.

The country is almost shut down right now. The major internet provider which basically owns half the country has a serious issue (so many diff theories on what happened, some real extreme/WW3 like) so now next to nothing works.

No TV, no internet, no atm withdrawals, no transferring money, pos machines dont work too well anywhere.

So...Canada is shut down until further notice. Sounds like a joke, but I'm being serious. Work from home jobs aren't possible, offices dont have internet, transactions aren't possible unless you use your credit card in person. Everyone just feels so lost right now.

The Weeknd had a concert here today too and it got cancelled AFTER everyone started to show up because it just wasn't possible to have an event when so many things aren't working. So now you have 40,000 fans on a Friday night wandering around downtown with nothing to do and nowhere they can really go.

and so this is how the Zombie Apocalypse begins.

Or that it would start in Canada.

The main thing which sucks here is that we're one of(if not the only) country to have internet/tv/phone controlled by 2 companies and that's it.

People are hoping an outage like this helps, but sadly it never will.

Imagine if Verizon goes out one weekend. Yes it would suck, but the entire country isn't impacted the same way since many people have many other carriers they might be with.

But it's also crazy how something like this really could cause a major collapse more than something like the pandemic or anything else could. Imagine most of a major country not having internet or TV service for an extended time. People would go crazy, and little things like being able to purchase anything becomes a tough task.

and this has me wanting to see if there are cursive digital fonts for the internets

                            off I go

EDIT - don't see one for OS though I did see something else I liked

Only when I sign for stuff. I hate having to sign in cursive on the digital tablet things.

Cursive writing is so pointless, and I hate even having to sign using it too. At this point I just bother doing initials.
