So, what caused this change exactly? I haven't been on OS since this morning.

I don't understand this at all. Basically, the EE forum was what set OS apart from other sports gaming forums. It was a nice place to visit to discuss the news and yes, even people's personal problems. If almost all of OS's posters, the people keeping this site alive, are saying they want it and it's not hurting anyone, why get rid of it? Sorry if this has already been asked.

I still say this is a bad call and if this thread is any indication, yall should reconsider. Every non-mod here seems to disagree with the decision. I know we dont run the site but we are apart of the group that got the most out of OS. I still dont see where you guys are going by shutting the EE forum down.

I don't think it's isolated to just the younger posters. I think a lot of posters here the enjoy sense of community OS has, which the EE forum was a big part of. Personally I'm 25, have never seen myspace and didn't grow up with this virtual world that kids today have, but I still greatly enjoy the community here.

My biggest concern is that the Pro/College Sports forums will be the next to go.
Many of them have discussions that get more heated than anything in the EE forum and aren't technically about "Sports Gaming."

Those forums are not going anywhere. They are sports related.

First things first- I didn't read through the whole thread (only the first page) so if I'm repeating someone, sorry.

Maybe this thread will eventually get locked but it's horrible that you give would even fathom doing something like this.

Yes, the majority of us are EXTREMELY appreciative for the information, previews, movies, etc. posted about upcoming videogames BUT the EE forum was the mainstay of a large percentage of OS posters.

This completely BLOWS. Hate to offend anybody but some of you (who ever made this decision) are getting EXTREMELY full of yourself. What are you so worried about? UGO and others like them? If that's the case, then you get an even bigger thumbs down.

You guys were perfectly fine locking threads that went off tangent. They were numerous but you were correct in locking them.

But to take out that Forum entirely is what will make OS become a second-level IGN.

I donated (as little as it may seem) because I like EVERYTHING about this site and the fact that I can talk about topics other than Sports and Videogames.

You have an excellent site here Steve. Top notch. More like a family and friends environment and the EE forum was a big part of us getting to know each other outside of "Well I like this team and I like that team or he likes this videogame and I like this other one." Don't let a couple of dumb comments or threads bring this site down to the level of other meaningless websites out there. This would be a horrible move IMHO. Horrible.

I apologize if anyone takes offense to what I wrote. IIt's just the way I feel right now.

Because we don't like this decision, we automatically don't have a life? You don't know me personally, but yet you can jump to a conclusion if I have a life or not?

First off, this was never directed at you specifically, but since you seem to be so offended and take umbrage to it I will respond...

Ok, if you're personal life is so poppin, then go and discuss things that would normally go in the EE forum with your friends. You don't NEED the Everything Else forum, nor do you NEED Operation Sports.

I don't understand why there's a freaking riot going on here. The world is not ending. Had we been more mature and actually been able to discuss such topics, it would have stayed around. The only direction we can point the finger at is towards us.

The EE forum is the forum that brought the feeling of a "community" to OS....Without it, the site would not be nearly as fun and OS would be just like any other site. I wonder how many people that donated would have donated if that sense of "community" was never there?

You directed it at people who were complaining. I complained, therefore it was directed (whether directly or indirectly) at me.

Maybe I don't like to talk to people about certain things. Also, to get personal here, I stutter. Not many people I know personally know that, because I try to my best to keep it a secret because when I was younger, I got made fun of for it. Therefore, that made me shy and not very talkative. I don't talk much as it is, I find OS to be a way where I can express myself with the possibility of getting made fun of, because I would in "real life" because of my stuttering.

That's my excuse for liking to get involved in discussions, because unless someone is really my friend, I won't talk to them very often.

Everytime you think you're making a valid point... you manage to slip something in about the stupid power hungry Nazi Mods who are doing this only to pleasure themselves with the Jergen's lotion of perceived power that it gives them....

That only validates the reason to get rid of it because you don't get it.

Also, if you can come in here as the "victim", why can't the Staff who made the decision come in here and share our opinion as well????

My heart truly aches for some of you when the day comes that something truly important in your life is lost... I pray that you dedicate this much passion and energy to that heartache that you dedicating to this.

I'd recommend Avalon myself, but I guess it's ok if you want to use Jergen's....
