It's not a problem with US thinking it... it's the poor persecuted people who cry when their thread gets locked. Doesn't matter who the Mod was.Originally posted by OHguy00Listen to The Remodeling Clay Podcast!

The Basketball forum has a bad reputation because of a very small handful of ignorant posters.Originally posted by bigeastbumrushReally.
So how do you explain the Basketball forum up and running in shambles for years?
Stop sugarcoating it and give us the real reason for closing it.
And to avoid confusion, you can just answer this- does closing the EE forum have anything to do with UGO?Listen to The Remodeling Clay Podcast!

Re: Everything Else Forum Removed
If this forum is strictly for sports gaming, like you say, then aren't the majority of forums here considered off-topic? I don't see how the EE forum is different.Originally posted by ExtremeGamerThe topics in the basketball forum are at least about basketball. How is a topic about "My g/f doesn't love me anymore" important to a videogame site, let alone a sports site?
No, Not at all.
No one has sugarcoated anything.Comment

Just because you don't think it is important, the person asking for help obviously thought it was. Not everyone thinks like you. Some things are easier said behind a computer talking to strangers that they are to their friends............ Locking a thread against the TOS is one thing, Locking a thread because you think it's stupid rubs people the wrong way.My Fan Page http://theusualgamer.net/MyFanPage_Heelfan71.aspx

Re: Everything Else Forum Removed
You want to mod, yet you immediately post in a thread that is not within the forum's rules? I figured, since you want to mod so bad, you could have said "this thread isn't in the idea of the ENTERTAINMENT forum".Originally posted by OHguy00If this forum is strictly for sports gaming, like you say, then aren't the majority of forums here considered off-topic? Re: Everything Else Forum Removed
But Heel, you know how those threads end well enough. I can't think of the last time they didn't end in someone getting made fun of or TOS being crossed at some point. You know I'm right.Originally posted by Heelfan71Just because you don't think it is important, the person asking for help obviously thought it was. Not everyone thinks like you. Originally posted by ExtremeGamerYou have to remember, this is a sports gaming site. The Entertainment forum is up now. I don't get what you else you guys want? There were so many useless threads that would end up in arguments in the EE forum that it was sickening to mod. I think some of you are complaining just to hear yourself talk and complain.
I really cant understand why some of you mods and I'm reffering to mostly the green mods, complain about modding forums and how sickening they are when none one put a gun to your head and forced you to mod. If modding is such a tough job and it sickens you, why do you continue to do it? Do you enjoy sorting through a bunch of useless threads and weeding out the good vs bad content? Do you enjoy posters calling you out and complaining about how you do things? If not, why go through it? As much as some of you complain about modding and how much you despise certain threads, one would think that you're not enjoying your duty. Or is it that you may enjoy having power over everybody else?
Seriously, I wanna know.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

Re: Everything Else Forum Removed
I'll answer that. I enjoy modding this site because I want to see it grow. I don't get paid, I don't take sides. I try to keep it as fair as possible and help the site as much as possible. I know a few, or probably even more, don't like me as a mod.Originally posted by GraphikI really cant understand why some of you mods and I'm reffering to mostly the green mods, complain about modding forums and how sickening they are when none one put a gun to your head and forced you to mod. But name one time I've complained about doing this? Me saying the forum was sickening to mod isn't complaing, you may take it that way, but what I meant was the threads that were always being posted.Comment

Re: Everything Else Forum Removed
I don't want to be a mod at all. Hence the reason I have never asked to be a mod before. I'm just saying that if called upon, I would do it.Originally posted by ExtremeGamerYou want to mod, yet you immediately post in a thread that is not within the forum's rules? I didn't know that posting in an off-topic thread was against the forum rules. Ban me.
*Hint Hint* maybe you should check out the Non-Sports Gaming forum.Comment

No, Not at all.

That's where the "full of yourselves" comment I made came from.
You guys really have forgotten what has set you apart from not only other videogame sites but other general websites as well.
It's a damn shame.
No, it isn't the end of the world. But you really, really have taken for granted the reasons many of us feel (felt) OS was the best WEBSITE (not gaming site) on the net.
Majority of "mods" (I don't hold any of you in some high regard & never had) here were filling the EE forum up more than just enough when you were "regular posters".
I'm not going to blow no one's spot but do you hold
in the same regards about a topic started about, let's say, the birth of a poster's child? Are they not in the same vein? Neither of them are sports/videogame related.Originally posted by ExtremeGamera topic about "My g/f doesn't love me anymore"
