Well, if you can answer this question, that's all I'd like:

If I ask a question in one post, then ask to be banned in another post directly after it, which one will be answered first? The question or the request to be banned?

Still it was made sarcastically, this would be the type of thing giving off the idea of the mods being full of themselves, or power hungry.

No offense, but I dont give a damn if you think I'm power hungry. It is what it is. I do what I can to make sure this site runs smooth. If I come off wrong while doing it, tough ****.

Also, (not directed at Cardsfan), there is no UGO conspiracy. this was a staff decision.

Depends on your history. If you've been celled multiple times, challenging us to ban you while celled, then requesting it on the forums. You're likely to be banned.

I didn't say its what I think, I said thats what can give off that idea, the idea that the other people in this thread calling you mods/admins power hungry.

The mere idea of it makes no sense. I can see the reason for complaints over this. I can see why some people would be upset. But the power hungry, I am being oppressed posts, are where I have the problem. As they are ridiculous.

You specifically questioned the Mods, the guys in Green. Bdoughty was the Admin of the entire site, apples and oranges.

Apples and oranges? Are you guys not the authority on this site? I treat the green mods the same way I treat the administrators. Just because I see a red name does'nt make me switch my lingo. I see you all in the same light because I have no clue what goes on behind the scenes. I dont see a pecking order.

Now was Doughty not a regular guy who enjoyed the power more than anything?

And mods, don't take this as I'm angry at you... in fact, I have more anger at myself for starting one of the threads that was mentioned in the "Why did this get closed" thread. I believe that might have been the catalyst for this decision.

This is actually a staff decision that has been mulled over time and time again from long before the UGO stuff kicked in.

Outbreak in one thread. Outbreak that will end once you guys realize that a decision has been made and that unless some of the higher ups decide to change their minds, the EE forum will no longer be around.

The other 20 forums havent been affected by this change at all.

Thats a great marketing strategy to get more people to come to your site.

All Jokes aside, as long as we got the sports forums, the world is not ending without the EE forum, i just found it to be a good forum here but you do what you gotta do.

It just sucks that we wont get humurous threads anymore about things such as Tarheel's wife crazy family..

Yeah, but he had to start "being here" when someone asked to be banned... not when people ask questions. It's selective hearing that is the problem here, there's obviously a break in communication happening here. I don't think I'm asking for much, just a civilized discussion and perhaps some suggestions, but when the mods and admin are "here for us" only when it benefits them there's something that needs to be done.

The current Mods and Staff have donated more time (and actual money) to this site then the rest of the 30,000 members combined. Why? For power? No... to keep OS alive. To help Steve... FOR the Users....

How much time has Eddie or Fossen or HD or Shawn given to YOU!?!?!? To speed up the site... get content... post news.... upgrade forums... write reviews.... WE do it all for you guys.....

What questions do you have that haven't been answered?

Personally, I would love to hear Steve's point of view on this issue and the type of community he envisions for OS. I know some have talked about a change in direction, but I'm not sure we've seen anything specific posted. I think the concern of many reasonable posters is that the removal of the EE forum will take away from part of the sense of community that makes OS what is is.
