You donated to a website (on your own accord) for the support of the site in order to keep it on the web. You don't get special treatment for that.
no question that you're right here.. but that response really shows your true colors.. hopefully not a reflection of all the mods, admins, people who run the site.

Well, I originally came here to talk about sports, but as time went by I was less and less interested in talking about the same rehashed problems and fixes, and I evantually found myself in the EE forum. In there I knew the people from other forums and knew their personalities. Thats what a community is about, you find your niche and go to it, and talk with like minded people.

A similar situation would be my work crew, on a smaller scale. I manage a crew of 20 peope. Of those 20, 3 of them turned into people I can discuss my problems and opinions with, and one of those turned into my gf. Its what life boils down into.

Now I dont need to come here to talk to these people, as I have no physical connection, but on the other hand, I do have personal friends from online games(asherons call) that I have interaced with on a more personal level(lent/borrowed money with, helped them when ceratin things happened..death, life, pregnancy), and it is people you are friends with.

So to you who said something along the line of "its sad to needs these people"...again a paraphrase, I say peace out...and good luck with a site that just sold out.

I don't see how OS sold out, tho. If OS wanted to sell out...they would have just let the EE forum run free and turn into IGN...while it isn't a popular decision...they in fact did the opposite of selling out.

look back earlier in the thread when they said it was about moving OS forward and looking to the future.

This is the first step in selling out when you say things like this.

They are grooming their image by shedding the excess problems so the buyers wont be scared away.
