Ok, let me spell my intent out for you since you don't seem to be grasping it. You have been implying that the forums are not that important, that the site would go on as normal without them, hence they're not a distinguishing feature. I am saying that to many, they are a distinguishing feature, something that is more imporant than the news, reviews, or anything else.

Re-read my post. Your post ending with something about my personal comfort zone implied it (without the forums, the site would go on....). If that is not what you meant, I apologize.

Meh........just look around guys.

Nothing has really changed ALL that much. The "What's Up" thread is used for alot of the more personal/weird/corny talk...... getting to know everyone better. But it's all very controlled there.

The Entertainment forum is still really similar to the old EE forum too, cept the personal stuff is up in the WU thread.

The forum is important to the people that think the forum is important.

Fact is, there are also a lot of OS users that don't think the forum is important.

First, I've never addressed any posts here at a specific person (including you) but a behavior. It wasn't YOUR personal comfort zone... it was about ONE'S personal comfort zone.

Yes, without the EE forum... the OS forums will go on. Without the OS forums... OS would go on. Without OS... the internet would go on. Without the internet... life would go on.

Craziness, logged in after I got home from school, went right to the Entertainment forum (still think its the EE forum I guess, lol) and didn't really realize it until I replied to the Apprentice post, and saw "Main Index - Other - Entertainment".

I really don't know why I was so upset yesterday, it was probably just the sudden change without a warning.

This is cool... We're all starting to be friends again.... I think the initial shock to the system was what triggered all the angst... The Babes forum, it was going down a bad path, and we were warned that if cats kept pushing the envelope, it would be removed... So it wasn't any real surprise when it did meet with a tragic death.... There wasn't any warning (at least none that I'm aware of) regarding the EE forum, so perhaps that sudden removal was why everyone flipped.

But time cures all wounds, people are moving on... Cool... OS is more resilient than we'll ever know.

I don't know, without the internet (google in particular) my grades would plummet and I would likely flunk out of school, from there I would likely be homeless living in the mean streets of Belleville, Illinois fighting for survival.

So without the internet its entirely possible life would not go on

I think thats what it was for me to, I'll miss it still but the only constant in life is change so just have to adapt. I think knowing it was coming would've cushioned it some but either way it gets it done. Plus with it done this way we got a 50+ page thread and over 500 responses, I know its helped my post count by atleast 7

The only reason I think this really sucks is because the OS guys are some very down-to-earth people that gave some great advice at different times. I'm don't wanna get it trouble, but just to express my opinion, I think this seriously blows.
