But not once was I harmed by those threads that I ignored. How can something damage you if you don't read it? If a thread is titled "what girl should i date," and you could care less, then why even open it? Now the thread underneath it about the "10 greatest events in the 20th century" or "country music is dead," those are the ones that caught my eye. It's nice that we now have an entertainment forum, but it's sad that off-the-wall topics such as "cheap food while in college" no longer have a place at OS.

Re: Everything Else Forum Removed
I guess this is the part I don't understand. When I visited the EE forum, there may have been 1-2 threads on the entire first page that I found interesting. I'd check out those and ignore the rest. The great thing was the variety of topics, you never knew what to expect.Originally posted by Shauk25

Please mods, re-consider this move. It's more than just a few of the people here who agree with this side of the arguement.Comment

I agree 100 percent. I don't agree with this move at all, but at the same time i know theres nothing i can do.......Originally posted by skydog71I guess this is the part I don't understand. Look at this discussion, and how many people are disappointed. To me, this says a lot, and the idea really should be reconsidered. I too miss the random threads and topics and those scary little links that Dookie always posted.
I gotta admit, this kinda sucks...Comment

Re: Everything Else Forum Removed
Everything Else forum was by far my favorite and had basically become the main reason I come to OS anymore now that I would rather not read a bunch of people whine about a glitch in Madden or whatever. 99% of the time I logged in I went striaght to EE and then maybe checked out the game I am most recently playing, which isnt often because I don't play video games a whole lot anymore.
Some of the sports forums are interesting but theres not enough action in there.
Could usually find an interesting or funny topic everyday in EE. I don't care about any new country music CD's or so and so's latest concert, so the Entertainment forum isn't doing much for me. Oh well...Comment

Re: Everything Else Forum Removed
Just in fairness to the mods, they always have said this is a public/family site. There are 12 year olds who read this site and they don't need to see alot of the threads about girls, drinking, etc. True, older posters can disregard threads that don't interest them, but younger kids are a different case.Originally posted by skydog71I guess this is the part I don't understand. The mods here keep an eye on everything and asking them to police the EE is no small task. Again, these are volunteers who do this for free. I don't really agree with the move but I think you have to respect it. There were days when there'd be five or six locked threads on the first page of the EE, it got out of hand sometimes."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: Everything Else Forum Removed
I mostly lurk on these forums now (probably cause I do less sports gaming than I used to, thank you Halo) but everytime I got on I would go to the EE forum.
I will miss it. It was the forum where I got to know the person behind the avatar/username. There I could learn elicoleman had the most bizarre tastes in food, Dookie was one strange mofo, PDiddy couldn't be trusted with a checkbook and stamp, heelfan is a post whore, Carmelo Anthony macked on P2k's gf, Yaoza was secretly a pirate, etc.
In short it was a funny and interesting sub-forum. I don't know if there will be that same sense of community, but things change. I know I will probably post even less now.Comment

Impose an age limit then, make it so only 13+ kids can come to the forum. And why should we care what the little kids see? It's not like the administration is liable for what people see.Comment

It says so in the TOS.Originally posted by p2xgamersUnless they have a message, though as confusing as internet laws are I'm not going to even guess.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment
