The EE thread was suppose to be just that...everything else. However like alot of things that are changing in this country free speech aint really free speech anymore.

If you are being vulgar and posting personal attacks, I can see those post getting punished or shut down. However, when post get shutdown and people get banned purely because someone dont agree with someone elses opinion that kills the whole point of having a MB in the first place. It did not only happen in the EE thread. It happens in the sports threads also.

Many of you are afraid to speak your mind in fear of upsetting the mods. I frankly don't care. Call a spade a spade, but certain things need to be said and addressed. Some of the mods here are the main instigators of debates going off kilter and getting nasty. Some of the Mods take things personally and have even allied themselves with people who personally attack people. They only hold up that TOS when they are using it to abuse others and not themselves and their at the moment sidekicks.

Which is why I primarily stopped posting at all in the EE thread. It was ran in a nazi fashion and so it ends in that fashion. I am not surprised.

Since the mods cannot deal with their own shortcomings in this, the remedy is to remove content thereby punishing those who can have a mature conversation about race, religon, politics,...everything else.

Its their board so they are entitled to do whatever they want, but its a shame it has to be handled the romper room way.

Have you thought about finding another board that's run more to your liking?

You can either voluntarily subject yourself to a system you rail against, or use your mouse to go elsewhere ... either way, the mods can't control what sites you choose to visit. When you visit OS, you implicitly agree with how things are being run.

Alot of threads have good debate but then along comes a mod who is in a fury over something he strongly disagrees with starts a flame war(with friends in tow sometimes) then locks the thread or cell/bans the person whom they disagree with.

Besides what determines good debate, the people posting on the boards, or the mods ? Is the board here for you or the vistors ?

Again, I aint advocating anarchy on your board, but you guys also have to take some blame. Yall dont always inforce your "TOS" fairly. So now to remedy that yall have resorted to removing the EE thread as a means of controlling whats said on your board. IMO its romper room. You don't agree...fine.

I post to several MB's and read alot of content in books and the internet daily. I did voluntarily stop posting to your now defunct EE thread. Because it was not really a EE thread it was a EE as long as we agree with you thread. So I continue to post in other threads. So I guess I am following your "TOS"

Back when we allowed political discussion, I would say more than half of the people on this board disagreed strongly with your views. Many of those people asked us to ban or discipline you, but that never happened. Why? because you never violated the TOS.

With that said, anyone who has been on this board awhile knows that your whole thing is just to argue and complain so I'm not surprised by this in the least.

Fury? LOL! Do you think I actually get riled up by what you say? I know your MO (So do most people on this board) so I'm not surprised or upset by this. You just like to argue and ive always thought you were kind of sad because of that but thats besides the point.

If I cared enough I would pull up the threads that got you thrown in the cell as proof that you violated the TOS but I dont care that much. You can play the victim all you want but you and the mods know the truth behind your visits to the cell.

I will say this as long as I have been a mod, I havent seen anyone get banned that didnt specifically ask to be banned or wasnt a multiple violator of the TOS. The mods dont ban people just because they dont like what they say. Like I said before, if that was the case we wouldnt even be having this conversation because you would have been banned a long time ago.

Also, the point of a message board isnt to debate. See that where you seem to be confused. The point of a message board is to have a discussion which sometimes can be a debate. Your problem is you just like to debate, even when you dont have a point.
