This thread is funny as hell. I don't like the decision, but guess what, I could not care less. The EE forum used to be my favorite forum but now, I feel so indifferent to it that it doesn't even register as a blip on my radar. The EE forums used to be good until til all the teenage, "i'm only 13 and I have major girl problems" threads started popping up. I certainly was annoyed by the stupid "this n that", "what are you listening to", threads that went on forever.

Just re-register there and make sure that it isnt sent to your spam part of your email. (spam box)

My only gripe is when many have suggested, "why do you care about the EE forum? Its a SPORTS VIDEO GAME forum?" Well, I'm part of other message boards, for bands, politics, cars, etc. etc. And guess what they all have? A general chat forum.

But in the end, I am actually in support of the removal of the EE forum. Go figure.

If worst comes to worst, I wouldn't mind, although they could try PMing TexanWolverine first.

If you never got the e-mail then try with a new name (there is a field in the profile to have your os name, so it can be something different) and possibly with a good e-mail client like gmail. (rather than aol, hotmail and that)

If the site needed help I would love to help out, cause its almost dead right now.

What I don't understand is how someone enjoying a forum is someone "without a life". I play football, wrestle, and run track and I still have the time to come here and talk to the people on here. It would be different if there weren't actual people that were talking back but they are. I don't see how just because you are talking to them through the internet that it's any less different than if you talked to them on the phone or something. There's nothing wrong with enjoying the people that frequent the site.

Like I said in my last post, I wasn't really trying to implicate that someone here doesnt have a life, sorry I came off that way. I was just saying that there's things more important than this internet forum.

BTW, not directed at you jmood, but I told you guys this was a riot.

I read through the first few pages and then skipped to the end 'cause I was tired of hearing the whining & complaining. Quick thoughts:

- Overall I agree
- I did like EE for a lot of reasons (appropriate topics...computer help, opinions on products, etc)
- I did not like EE because it made the site seem like there were a bunch of horny 14 year olds as the main posters
- I felt like a lot of people were post whores in EE, which wastes space & bandwidth

I hope that the Ent. board can slowly allow more topics that are helpful and not a waste of space (like a lot were). But overall I agree that something needed to be done and I think something drastic like this was a very good idea. I think Steve & the mods made a good decision with this.

I just hope this Entertainment forum gets loosened up a bit...So we can still discuss school and other meaningful, but non-sports related topics.

The ironic thing is that a lot of the things that brought up the racial flame wars, was caused by the Entertainment aspect...
