LIVERPOOL-- A gloomy Saturday afternoon affair saw Arsenal top the host Toffees 2-1, thanks to two goals from striker Olivier Giroud, his 16th and 17th goals on the season. He now sits just one goal behind league leader, Wayne Rooney who has netted 18 for Manchester United.

Giroud found the back of the net just 12 minutes into the match, beating American keeper Tim Howard--as rumors continue to swirl about his return to the MLS. The Frenchman would add his 2nd goal 20 minutes later with another laser past Howard. Everton would eventually score on a controversial penalty call on Nacho Monreal, as Steven Naismith brought the Toffees to within one in the 78'. Everton came close to finding an equalizer, but the Arsenal defense was too stiff and as always, Peter Cech was brilliant in goal.

The win keeps the title hopes alive for Arsenal, as they sit just 3 points behind Manchester City heading into the International Break--still with a match to play at The Etihad.

Check out my page, just 8 games to go, and sitting in 2nd behind City.

Also still alive in the FA Cup and Champions League. Hoping for the Treble!!!!

"I just told the club before the match that it's very simple. Lose and we are done."

      Pre Match:

Tottenham will host Anderlecht in the final match of group stages in a lose and go home scenario. Spurs have the advantage winning the last meeting 4-1 and this time at home.

      Post Match:

A happy Stlducks made his way to the table after the match where it was all smiles in the clubhouse. "This was a very tough group, but the boys battled hard. We lost two more players with injuries tonight in Eriksen and Mason, both are out roughly 3 weeks it seems with ankle issues. But like we have said all season, our depth is our greatest strength. Tonight Eriksen went down and a man stepped in right away and controlled midfield."

          SANCHEZ SAVES ARSENAL

LONDON-- Arsenal traveled to East London to bid farewell to the Boleyn Ground, and spectators were treated to an exciting match of back and forth action between the Gunners and West Ham. Arsenal opened the scoring with a surprise goal from Gabriel, who scored on a corner from a beautiful delivery from league assist leader Mesut Özil. Andy Carroll scored the equalizer for the Hammers in the closing minutes of the first half with a laser past Petr Čech.

The game remained deadlocked at 1 goal each until the 72' when West Ham scored a 2nd goal when Calum Chambers failed to clear the ball out of the box, and Michail Antonio easily beat Čech. The Gunners then down 2-1 turned up the heat and Mesut Özil scored the equalizer just six minutes later (78'). With the game seemingly headed for a draw, Alexis Sanchez, who's been struggling to find form, cut through the West Ham defense and fired a shot past Adrian in the closing seconds of extra time, to give the Gunners the valuable 3 points.

The win, and 3 points, keeps Arsenal on pace with Manchester City, with an opportunity to continue the run of form with their next 3 fixtures against Watford (home), Sunderland (away), and Norwich (home).

Won my QF match in the Champions league (away) v Galatasaray 2-0, BUT lost Gareth Bale (my £51m signing!!!) for the remainder of the year!!! UGH.

Next up (Wed) is the 2nd leg v Galatasaray. Winning away 2-0 allows me to play some youngsters.

The following Sat is the FA Cup semifinal v Chelsea!

Two very close matches. QPR look to be struggling without Austin, how long I'd he out for?

That pass back to the keeper was a little shaky. Lol, I have to admit I have done that twice in FIFA 16 where the defender intercepted it.

As for the end of your episode, I think the sooner the better with the updates man. I think I'm just as anxious to see how this plays out as you are, really excited to see QPR back in the PL.

Pre-Match Spurs welcome West Brom to White Hart Lane in the quarterfinals of the Capitol One Cup, only 11 days after facing West Brom in league play. A match that ended 2-1 in favor of Tottenham.

Post-Match Disappoint all around to Tottenham to have 6 of 8 shots are target and not score 1 goal is very disheartening.
"It is very dissapointing to be out of the Capital one cup, our goal coming into the season was to win every cup we could. Now we turn our focus to the league and Europe. We still have two more competitions to try winning."
