2015-16 Bundesliga
Match Week #13
10 November 2015
Signal Iduna Park | Dortmund
DORTMUND STRIKE EARLY, HOLD OFF SCHALKE 2-0

DORTMUND -- Borussia Dortmund would strike for 2 goals in the first quarter of an hour from a dreary Signal Iduna Park, sinking rival FC Schalke. Sven Bender would be the first to find the back of the net, just 6 minutes into the match. Dortmund's 2nd goal would come from a penalty from a handball (blocked shot) just 6 minutes later. That would be all the offense they would need as Burki earned his (league leading) 4th clean sheet.

Dortmund would fire 23 shots at Schalke including a missed penalty by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at the death. The win puts Dortmund back into 2nd place in the Bundesliga, heading into the November International Break. They are currently 7 points behind leaders Bayern Munich--who they drew earlier in the year.
Hedges is also the German National Team Manager, and has selected Marco Reus, Ginter, Gündoğan, and Mats Hummels for the friendly matches vs Bulgaria and New Zealand. These are all tune-up matches for Euro 2016 which looms next June/July.
