As you can see, it's not a very strong team to start, but hopefully the young players will develop quickly.

I'm thinking my career rules will include:
    1. Only USA players 25 and under may be added to the team through the transfer process.
    2. Youth Academy players may be from any country.

    My immediate questions are:
    1. Can this team avoid relegation into League 1 during the first year?
    2. Can a decent team be built over time with these rules?
    3. If so, how long will it take to gain promotion to the EPL?

Any thoughts or suggestions on rules?
I did an American only career mode couple years back with Chesterfield when they were in League 2 and used the time til I got to BPL to sell off all non USA players and to transfer in USA only and scout USA players.

I think you need to maybe just make the team all Americans and don't import all the players to your team before the career mode. It will give you a challenge to acquire players but also can't just have an all USA team right away you need to build one up and also balance that with keeping a couple non USA to build up prices to in future use as transfers to raise money. I found a bunch of under rated or unknown players and got superstars when reached championship.

If you are doing all Americans maybe have the scouting always have 1/3 scouts scouting USA and other 2 Canada/Mexico if you wanna keep it North American then use the good potential players from other countries as players to sell not be part of main squad ... Try to have only Americans by the time you reach the BPL..

Yes an all American team of under 25 yr olds should have good enough talent to not be relegated and make a push for promotion.

Think of the under 25 players USA has should be solid team:
ST Jamieson IV, RM Zardes, ST Rubin, CB Brooks, CB Miazga, CB Carter Vickers, RB Yedlin, ST Morris, CM C. Pulisic,CM Hyndman, CDM Trapp, GK Hamid, GK Horvath, CAM Nagbe, ST Johansson, CAM Thompson, CM Swanson, CDM Acosta,
LM Lletget, CB Farrell, etc etc .. Here's list if need targets http://sofifa.com/players/?type=all&...&aeh=24&col=pt

What budget will you have? Use Sounders default or use Financial Takeover?
    Which roster set?
    Half min, difficulty, sliders etc?

Pre-Match - Coming off a 1-0 win vs Everton (game was not televised so no highlights) Spurs welcome Sunderland to White Hart Lane. Tottenham traveled to The Stadium of Light earlier this season and came away with a 3 -1 victory.

Spurs are looking for an easy win as Sunderland are one of the worst teams away from home this season. They are also one of the worst teams in the league period.

Post Match - Disappointment, embarrassment and frustration are words going around the grounds as Tottenham try to understand the loss they just experienced. Dominating every part of the match except for an early goal that ended up being enough. After Sunderland scored they dropped back and didn't try to attack the rest of the match, leaving Spurs to try attacking a 10 man box.

DirectFX - Thanks, I appreciate your response and ideas. I've already started this career. The initial 2015 team includes only USA players that were between 15-20 yrs old, as of the Feb 25 SoFIFA/FIFA version. So, that limits the team ratings, obviously. I plan to acquire some USA players older than 20 through the transfer process, but it won't be easy to get the top players, like Brooks, because of my transfer budget. During the first season, I'm trying to spend my budget on high cost youth scouts, so I can more quickly build the team through that process. So that doesn't leave much budget for higher cost transfers. This will increase the challenge, which is fine.

I have considered allowing myself to include North American transfers, or non-Mexican NA transfers, to allow for quicker team improvement.

I think my initial Championship League budget was $8.5M, but I've spent most of that on two 4* youth scouts, and can't afford a third yet. I'm in mid-August and have about $2M remaining. I'm trying to decide if I should try to buy Yedlin, or continue saving for scouts and not dip into the transfer market until January.

I play with 10 min halfs, World Class. I have slightly modified sliders. Most are slightly in favor of the CPU, but I give myself a slight speed and accel advantage.

My current roster can be seen on the sofifa squad link in my OP.

                Thanks again for your ideas.

                  Transfer Day Deadline

The transfer deadline is here and the Spurs are going to be happy with their results. Coming into the window Tottenham wanted another attacker and a solid backup CB, both of those were accomplished this window and fans could not be happier with the results.

Tottenham's number 1 target, Julian Draxler finally signed a deal after the $20 million transfer, the 22 year old will be making $80,000 a week putting him 6th on the Spurs roster. Draxler will fit right into the starting XI on the wing with Eriksen in the middle and Lamela on the left. Matches where Chadli starts, Draxler will move to the left as Lamela will go to the bench.

For the CB position, Tottenham signed 24 year old French Thimothee Kolodziejczak. TK is what he will be referred to for obvious reasons. Spurs came to a $3.8 million deal with Sevilla FC for the young CB. TK will be placed along side Wimmer as the back up CB pairing and will see plenty of auction in cup and EL matches.

For depth and a building project at ST, Tottenham signed Moussa Dembele from Fulham for $700,000. Dembele is only 19 years old and will see plenty of action in training and the occasional cup match. Due to Harry Kanes latest injury if Dembele shows promise he could be thrown in at the end of matches sooner than expected.

                  Loaned and Sold Players

CAM William Miller - Loaned to Doncaster
RM Emmanual Sonupe - Loaned to Oldham Athletic
CM Harry Winks - Loaned to Dag & Red

                  Other Key Transfers

Man U sign CM Thiago from FC Bayern for $30 million.
Juventus sign FB David Alaba for $32.5 million from FC Bayern.
Man City sign Benzema for $44 million from Real Madrid
Arsenal sign DM Blaise Matuidi for $23.5 million from PSG

                    ORIENT CANT SECURE THE WIN

EAST LONDON — Leyton Orient kicked off the Josh Hedges regime with a 1-1 draw against Stevenage at Brisbane Road on a sunny Saturday afternoon in East London.

The first third of the game would remain goalless until young Jackson Hedges, a rising American superstar delivered a beautiful cross into the box for Kevin Nolan to smash a header into the back of the net.

It appeared the O’s were on their way to their first win under their new manager, but an apparent missed foul call allowed Charlie Lee to find Byron Harrison in the box who snuck in the equalizing goal inside the near post in the 85th minute.

The goal was quite deflating for supporters at Brisbane Road of the newly relegated O's, but Hedges tried to rally the troops to find another goal just before the death, but his header went just over the bar to seal the 1-1 draw.

Pre-Match - The first round of the FA cup have the Spurs traveling to Luton Town in what should be an easy victory.

Julian Draxler will be making his Tottenham debut after coming over last week in the January transfer window.

ORIENT LOSE LEAD AGAIN | DRAW YEOVIL TOWN 1-1

YEOVIL -- In a battle of two relegated teams, Yeovil Town and Leyton Orient played out to a 1-1 draw Saturday at Hush Park. It was Leyton Orient once again opening the scoring with a penalty awarded to Kevin Nolan who connected in the 32' to give LO the lead.

The Glovers would find their equalizer with a brilliant goal in the 62' from François Zoko, that Australian keeper Alex Cisak stood no shot at stopping.

Orient have now had trouble multiple times this year closing out games with the lead. It's been made known that Hedges will definitely be actively seeking defensive help in the January window--his first with the club.

Also of note, scouts from his home country of Australia have reportedly been in serious discussion with a young goalkeeper with loads of potential. Stay tuned...

                              THE VILLAN'S REPORT
As the Premier League is off and running with August and September done, Aston Villa sit comfortable in 11th, having only won 2 matches this season in back to back fashion against Leicester City and West Brom, and honourable draws against Manchester United and Liverpool. Scott Sinclair has been a terrific addition to the Villa creating so much off the Left Wing.

Jordan Ayew has returned to the side in recent weeks after niggling injuries have derailed his Villa debut, fans look to him to replace the prolific Belgian striker Cristian Benteke.
Agbonlahor looks much more settled at the CF position and hopefully the 28 year old can show his worth as rumours suggest the long time Aston Villa fan favourite may be moved on from Villa Park come the next transfer window.
But the shining light of the season so far has been the incredible play from Carlos Sanchez who has been really good for the Villans this season, leading the Villa votes so far.

Villa have much to prove in the upcoming month of October facing Stoke City are currently a few spots below Aston Villa in 14th and will be looking to climb the table, then to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea who haven't been as dominant as there title winning season of 14/15 but are still holding steady in 6th with Costa and Oscar looking good early on in the season. They also face Swansea City who have started there season off really well sitting in 4th, with 4 wins 2 Losses and a draw, and lastly finishing of the month of October facing Everton in the Round of 16 for the Capitol One cup match, Expect Aston Villa to add a few more regular players form their starting 11 against Everton.

                              VILLA VOTES

                              Carlos Sanchez - 10 votes

                              Scott Sinclair - 7 votes

                              Micah Richards - 6 votes
