Re: *The FIFA 16 Manager Mode Thread*

I'm so close to finishing a manager career. And I don't know if I can take it any more. The game has gotten so buggy its almost unplayable at this point. Its the 2024-25 season.

• I can't extend contracts. Everyone refuses no matter what I offer.
• If I try to simulate a game I get two red cards, and someone gets seriously injured. Every time. Not even exaggerating. I happens every time.
• When playing the games, my teams stamina just loses its damn mind. One player will never lose any. While others will be completely gassed 5 minutes in. As in they are showing red on the bar.
• Anyone I sign in the youth academy in the last two years has never been above 4'11". Even at 18 they still this short. So I have a bunch of midgets running around on the field. Its looks really stupid.
• The slow down for Europa games is sooooo long now. The menu freezes for roughly 5 minutes. Every time.
• But my favorite is my budget keeps growing every year. And I am not making my goals. I am at Club Brugge currently. This years budget was 180M, salary of 500K. So I bring in expensive players, and then in a couple years I can't resign them, so I have to keep buying. So I guess this one evens that one out?
• And I thought maybe leaving this club might fix a couple of the bugs. But there hasn't been a single job open in over a year.

The list goes on and on. Something new is added it seems every time I go one year further.

I also think I did this to the game. The forfeiting games and getting fired to four teams in one season. I think this royally ****ed up the game some how.

I really want to see it out, just to say I did. But man, I don't know.

Anyways, I am currently 0-0-15 due to not being able to simulate a game without murdering my roster. And when I play my players almost die on the field. I give up so many goals. -45 is my GD. I'm hoping that maybe if I slog through this season I will get fired. Maybe that will resolve some of the messed up stuff. Or maybe I am just crazy and a masochist.

That's messed up! I know most EA Sports games tend to get slightly buggy in their career modes as you get further into the game but I have never heard of it getting that bad. Maybe it was because of getting fired four times in one season, but the stamina ratings might be the craziest thing I've ever heard from a sports game. You should keep playing until the end just to see how messed up it gets in the final season. Since you are managing Club Brugge I have to ask will "expensive players" sign for you right away or do you have to massively overpay them to get them to sign?

Overpaying, insane amounts of salary.
For a 28 year old CB rated 80, poor physicals, I had to pay him $180K a week. Even a CM that was 23 and rated 75, I had to pay $130K a week to leave his backup role to be a starter.

The stamina thing has also been corrected. Not sure how or why. In January I sold some players, and cut some players. And ever since I haven't had the stamina issues. So I'm thinking it was tied to a specific glitched player somehow, but affected the whole team. I'm not sure how that would even work.

And I am pretty sure all my issues were caused by the rapid quitting/getting fired by forfeiting games. None of this started until directly after that.

Its good that the stamina issue has been fixed, that must have been annoying. I was wondering about signing expensive players though because last year in my Viking FK career it was impossible to sign anyone over 80 OVR, and you had to overpay at least $30,000 for anyone over a 75 OVR, even though I won the Champions' League. When I moved to Union Berlin I had similar problems if I tried to sign someone who played in a different league and I noticed the same thing this year with Red Star FC. I figure it is some sort of coding issue where star players would prefer to play with either top level clubs, or in the Premier League.

Re: *The FIFA 16 Manager Mode Thread*

LONDON -- A rainy Friday night would not dampen the mood of Arsenal and Liverpool supporters as the two giants met under the floodlights of The Emirates.

Arsenal found themselves 2-1 up at the break, after a first half that was dominated by 55% possession from Liverpool; but it was Aaron Ramsey who opened the scoring in the 20' with a beautiful through ball from Olivier Giroud—and was able to sneak it past an approaching Ádám Bogdán in goal. Daniel Sturridge would equalize in the 39’, and Alexis Sanchez would answer for the Gunners in first half stoppage time.

The two clubs would go on to trade goals before Özil’s desperation shot in the 80' secured the draw, and point for Arsenal. Summer signing Petr Čech, while allowing 3 goals from Sturridge, was remarkable in goal, notching 17 saves--as the Arsenal defense was constantly being shredded by the potent Liverpool attackers.

Arsenal head to Newcastle next week for the early Saturday kickoff. They find themselves in a 4 way tie at the top of the table (2-1-0), securing 7 of 9 points through their first 3 matches. Manchester City, Manchester United, and Southampton also have earned 7 points through their first 3 matches of 2015.

Re: *The FIFA 16 Manager Mode Thread* : CREATED PLAYERS IN CAREER MODE: ARE THEIR POT

I want to create a few youth players for Arsenal, like Donyell Malen, Chris Willock, and Reiss Nelson. However, I don't want their potentials to be stuck at 'Potential to be Special'. I tried about 15 times to loan Malen out in the first summer of my CM, created him to be 61 so he could be a test case, and not once did his potential or value change...so I'm worried there's no way to lower his or any created player's potential. The loan glitch works fine in changing potentials up or down with other players.

So, it would be great if anyone can give me a definitive answer on if created players' potentials are fixed at Potential to be Special. Because otherwise I probably won't create the players and use them in my CM.

Also, while I'm at it, why can't you create a player born in 1999?

Petr Cech earns MOM in return trip to Stamford Bridge in 1-0 shutout of Chelsea.

Lone goal coming from a Giroud penalty in the 36th minute. Arsenal were able to cruise after Falcao earned a red card 20 minutes later.

Yeah they are fixed. Creating players are pointless on Fifa. Simply have to hope they get added on the game somewhen in a squad update.

the cynic in me says that 1999 would've been too young about 3 Fifas ago and let's face it, 2016 is just a cut and paste from 13 as far as MM goes.

Red Star FC looked to build on the momentum of the previous season towards their greatest season in team history. In Ligue 1, Red Star got off to a great start not losing a game until January! In the Champions League, Red Star got off to a shockingly good start with wins against Schalke, and AC Milan while drawing defending champions Arsenal. After defeating Arsenal in the reverse fixture, qualification for the round of 16 seemed inevitable needing just a draw against Schalke or AC Milan to clinch. After beating Schalke, Red Star FC were through to the round of 16!

Red Star FC bowed out of the Coupe de Ligue to PSG after a busy January wore down the squad, but maintained a large lead in the Ligue 1 standings. In the first leg of the Champions League round of 16, Red Star FC demolished on a Juventus side 5-0 which imploded early after a red card was given. Red Star would win 6-0 on aggregate. In the quarter finals, Red Star was able to eclipse Manchester City 4-1 on aggregate in two hard fought matches where Red Star FC had the bounces go their way. In the semifinals, Red Star FC faced an experienced Chelsea squad. Red Star was confident after a 2-1 victory in Stamford Bridge, but couldn’t find the back of the net in the reverse fixture, where Chelsea advanced after winning 2-0 on the road in Paris. Red Star clinched the Ligue 1 title with four games remaining, giving them their first league title ever! In the Coupe de France final, PSG scored just before halftime to make it 1-0. In the 82’, Sliti equalized on a penalty taking it to extra time. PSG and Red Star exchanged goals in the first half of extra time, but PSG was just too strong clinching with 2 late goals to win the trophy 4-2. None of the less it was a great season for Red Star FC.

It was an exciting time to live in Canada, as the nation qualified for its first World Cup since 1986! The country was hoping it would fare better than its last performance, when they finished last in their group with 0 goals scored. Most felt if the Canadians played to the same quality as their qualifying matches against top competition, they could compete to make it out of the group. Manager Martin wanted to make it to the round of 16 if possible.

Canada was drawn in a tough group against top 10 Belgium, Norway, and a tricky Chilean side. In the first match against Belgium, Canada won an unexpected penalty in the 24’, which was put away by Atiba Hutchinson, their first goal in a FIFA World Cup! Canada would go on to win the game 3-1, with the Belgians pressuring late to tie ended up creating a counter attack resulting in the final tally. Canada had an easier time against Norway where 3 first half goals sealed the victory early on in the 3-0 win. Belgium and Chile drew meaning Canada reached their goal of making the round of 16! Canada defeated Chile 2-0 to finish on top of Group B.

In the round of 16, Canada would face Cristiano Ronaldo and his powerful Portuguese side. Many tuned in on July 7 that morning to TSN to watch the historic fixture. It was an overall dull first half that ended 0-0. However early in the second half, the Canadian defenders lost their shape allowing Ronaldo the opportunity to waltz into the box and strike a shot past Occean making it 1-0 Portugal. Before they knew what hit them Portugal struck again from well outside the box to go up 2-0! After the goals, Canada dug deep and peppered the Portuguese net with shots getting within one in the 78’, but it was too late as midnight struck on the Cinderella Canadians run. They left with their heads held high as they managed to play strongly against one of the best sides in the world, and managed to get the country excited about soccer possibly leading to better World Cup results in the future. Portugal would go on to lose in the World Cup Final against Italy.
