Re: Patch 1.05 = Crap
So players backing away from a free ball right in font of an open goal is fine? Teammates backing off of their marked man allowing them to walk right through is fine? CPU AI playing flawless while the rest of your team plays like scared cats is fine? Refs calling fouls on you while allowing the CPU to knock you to the ground with no call is fine? Aston Villa playing like Man City s fine? It's ridiculous how some say the game is fine, must be online players.Comment

With the introduction of 1.03 every collision inside the box was a penalty. It is fixed on 1.05.
15min halves here and I have an average of 15 fouls combined in each match on default sliders. The sliders are so outdated. EA haven't touched them since the implementation of them and they don't test the game or the patches in relation to the sliders. The game doesn't need global sliders. It needs more team and player individuality.
And ofc I'm not playing online. I'm against online sports videogaming especially with the way it's done by the companies. The only "sports" videogame I play online is Rocket League and it's easy to figure why.Comment

Re: Patch #5 = Crap
There's always divided opinion about things like this and I for one agreed that 1.05 is more like 5 steps backward but I do respect the opinions of those who feel otherwise.

Re: Patch 1.05 = Crap
You realize that teammates AI was improved only with the latest patch? People were complaining about teammates backing away from ball since September. It's drastically improved on 1.05.

Re: Patch 1.05 = Crap
Ppl should really spend some time to study the game of soccer, the game in fifa16, and actually learn the basics of them, they will notice the patch made the game better, one thing though I do realize in this year's game is that is really hard to score headers off crosses, whether is in-game crosses or corner crossesComment

Unless you're watching a league in which players run away from the ball, defenders are on a continuous 15 yard back up from ball policy, teams like carpi or hull playing tiki taka comparable to that of Barca, or attack being no build up and based off a winger touching ball 20+ yards and sprinting to cross 75% of time.
Not even getting to part of no fouls, every team having a Neuer like goalkeeper, and every post being hit during a game.
So please keep the whole "you don't know soccer" cop out bs logic out of discussion about a flawed video game because it really doesn't play any part. It's such an amateur argument against legit concerns with new patch.

Re: Patch #5 = Crap
At this point my only real problem the game is that if I am even somewhat aggressive attacking with the ball, it is literally impossible to end the match with more possession than the CPU because of how deliberate they can be.
Only time I end with more possession is if I make a conscience effort to get a 0-0 result, by passing endlessly with no real bite, or I take a big lead early and (again) make no effort to attack.Comment

Re: Patch 1.05 = Crap
EA, as YOU have to release patches, which obiously and heavily impacts the gameplay experience, it's mandatory, that WE still have the choice in terms of individuell likes.
I never had bought FIFA 16, if the demo and/or release had the actual gameplay with patch 1.05.
Providing download files is the minimum we can expect...Comment

I wish they have would possession stats by area, broken down in thirds.Comment

Re: Patch 1.05 = Crap
I really wish there was a way to rollback patches for this very reason. Each patch contains tweaks that will suit one group more than another so why not allow us the option to choose which one we prefer. Talking here just I terms of offline (the only mode I care about).Comment

Re: Patch 1.05 = Crap
And likewise if you studied the game of soccer and the game of fifa 16 with newest patch you would see they're on two different spectrums.

Re: Patch 1.05 = Crap
Gotta agree with the thread title. I really liked FIFA16 when it first came out but for me, each patch has made it worse. Patch 5 is the biggest stinker of all as it seems to have simply recaptured that horrible feeling that was FIFA15.
I gave up on 16 for a few weeks over Xmas but tried it again last night and really enjoyed it. I was a bit perplexed as to why it felt good again but then realised that before Xmas, I must have uninstalled the game and then reinstalled whilst disconnected from the internet to avoid applying the patches because I was actually playing the original version again, which I'll be sticking with from now on.
My concern for the future is that EA may have decided that the FIFA15 formula is the only way to go so FIFA17 and beyond may simply be more of that flavour of horrible arcade football. If so, I can see me being stuck playing FIFA16 vanilla version for the next few years unless PES gets its act together, which seems unlikely given its history over the past decade.Comment

Re: Patch 1.05 = Crap
Has anyone scanned over the FIFA Twitter? I really hope there are people complaining with how bad the patch is and EA somehow acknowledging it. I am afraid it is just full of Ultimate Team players praising how great the patch is and EA saying thanks for the pat on the back.Comment
